Currently have a BA from UCLA, what road shall I consider to getting into a MSN prog?

Published

I graduated from UCLA with a CUM GPA of 2.6. My GPA is so low because of personal circumstances. I was able to take some science courses, but did not major in a science. Now I am looking into how I should be able to proceed with obtaining my nursing degree. I have enrolled to take anatomy and microbio in the fall and then physiology in an accelerated winter session. I am looking into applying and getting on the waitlist to obtain an AA in nursing, and hoping to become an RN. My question is, am I on the right track by trying to raise my GPA and then applying to a MSN or BSN program? And will both GPA's both from UCLA and the nursing degree be considered equally or would the later be weighed more heavily? Please help.
