Does anybody know how much can an LPN get for home care as a participating provider in the New York Medicaid Program in the county of Queens? I have been calling Medicaid offices in all five boroughs of NYC and nobody answers the phone, only answering machines ... have left messages but nobody calls me back ... anybody can solve this "mistery"?
Thank you!
For all who want info in NY you can go to www.emeds.org to enroll. You have to get a NPI number 1st and then you get a medicaid #. I just started my enrollment last week.
You have to give a license number (LPN/RN) and ss #.There are phone #'s you can call on the site for help. As for the wages- LPN I am told is around $21-22 an hour and more if you care for a fragile child.
Other states Google how to get a medicaid number as a LPN or RN that's how I found this site and the emedsny site.
Good luck!

LPN is $23.69 & if you have experience caring for medically fragile children you can apply for a 30% enhancement in that hourly amount (RN's as well) - there is a form on that website to apply. You can call customer service on emedny for more info.
Hey everyone, long time no speak! OK, the website's spelling is incorrect, it' www.eMedNY.org, you first need to obtain an NPI number, this takes anywhere between a few hours to a month. Then with this NPI number you can apply for the medicaid provider number. As far as getting cases, I've advertised on the internet job sites and in the papers and also by word of mouth from friends who work fo other cases. The pay rate for lpn is anywhere between approximately $21 and $27, if you can prove that you have exp with peds you can apply to be able to bill for the 30% incentive. That takes another 4-6 weeks to get approved. This incentive is scheduled to be finished by the end of this month but it's been getting extended for a while so let's c. It allows you to get a higher rate when caring for anyone under age 21. All instructions are found on the website, everything you need to know is in the provider manual for private duty nursing. I've been doing it for a while now but I have horror stories and remember medicaid does not take taxes out your reimbursements!! Good luck everyone!
