Hi. I am a student in CT looking to do the LPN to RN program for excelsior. I have one more semester in the LPN program to complete it. Since I am not enrolled in the program by excelsior yet since I need to get my license first, I was wondering can someone send me the study guides for each of the exams, cause I want to start studying the material now while I am still in the LPN program. The only two courses I am able to complete right now and take the exams for and not have the LPN license for is the essentials of nursing care: health safety and the transition to the registered professional nurse role. I want the study guides for the rest of them so I could start studying for the exams, so when I graduate in June I can just be ready to knock down these exams. Someone please help me.
I am also looking for the college network books that correspond with these courses. I was thinking about doing college network, but they are freakin expensive, and excelsior is an accredited college whereas from what I am reading on the excelsior site they are not even affiliated with any of these test preparation services, so I am not trusting the college network right now. They are trying to make me pay $525 dollar for each of their books and that is a hell of a lot of money when I know I could find their materials cheaper from someone else or just posting it here online.

The study guides are for enrolled students only. Sharing materials with non-enrolled students is a violation of EC's policies. I suggest you focus on finishing your LPN program and taking the NCLEX-PN; Excelsior will still be here when you're done. If you want to download the study guides for the exams you can take before enrollment, you only need to create an account on EC's site and visit their downloads section.
You're right, the College Network isn't affiliated with EC. I would recommend looking for their materials used on sites like eBay. Buying and selling on this website is a violation of the Terms of Service (TOS). Thanks, and good luck!

Here are words of encouragement: focus on your LVN program. What good is it going to be if you don't pass your program but are trying to focus on the Excelsior exams and fail your LVN program? Excelsior has graciously made available the first two study guides in Transitions and Health Safety. What they didn't make available are the rest of the guides. To Excelsior you MUST be an enrolled student to have access. I don't have any of the guides and even if I did I wouldn't share them with you or anybody not enrolled. I'm treating this as cheating and there's no way I would risk the chances of getting my RN for th at. I don't think you should either. If it is found out th at you did have those guides before enrollischool might treat it as cheating and kick you out of school. Not worth it for anybody. Good luck in your studies.
Sorry. I didn't mean to make a big deal. I just thought it would have been ok to get them early. Well for anyone who reads this message please disregard it.
No worries, you didn't know. You aren't the first to ask, and you won't be the last! Good luck with the remainder of your LPN stuff. :)

Here's my advice, you can take it for what it's worth. I am doing the College Network - I was relying SOLELY on their resources, which I found in the last test that I took (LS1) many questions on the test I really had no clue where they came from. While College Network tries to keep their study guides and information updated, I am not totally certain they are able to. I would highly recommend taking the money you would spend at the College Network & purchasing the resources that Excelsior recommends. The books are expensive, but the information will be priceless AND the tests will be parallel with your readings.
