Curious About Those Sata Questions In Nclex-rn

Can you give sample topics and questions for SATA? How will you know if you are getting them right as you go along the NCLEX-RN? Thanks!

ANYONE?

Actually questions that are written by someone else cannot be posted here as they are covered under US copyright law.

Each exam is different, and no two are alike. So what one person had on their exam, chances of you seeing it are quite slim. Any type of question on any subject is game for what ever type of question that you are given. The exam will also focus on your weak points.

There are review books out there that have SATA questions in them as examples, just have a look for them.

I would suggest getting a review book with a CD... you could then take the practice uestions on the cd, I used Saunders and I found the format to be very similar to the of the NCLEX. However, I did not see a single question from my CD on the test. So don't expect that...it will make you more comfortable with the style of questions, taking it on a computer & give rationals for all answers..which I found very helpful.

Hope this helps... as far as remebering questions... I don't remember a single one & you are not supposed to tell even if you do... you sign a contract of sorts about that.

Whoooaaa people....the OP specifically asked for SAMPLE questions. I was not under the impression that she was asking for specific remembered questions at all. Sample as in a sample (not an actual example) of what might be on the test. Let's not jump to assume the worst.

I just took the NCLEX today and I don't even know what a SATA question is.

wildmountainchild- SATA means "select all that apply". I have yet to find anyone who likes that type of question...*shudder*

I took the dreaded test on 1-31 and since I live in California, I've got to wait forever for the results. I hope you get yours fast and best of luck to you!

Shudder is right! I took mine today and got 9 of those awful questions. My fingers are crossed that I never have to do them again.

There really is no way to study for them. You just have to know your stuff. Im pretty sure I didnt.

What sucks is that you can get all of the options but one and you still get it wrong.

I had about 6-7 of them (I think). And they totally sucked. I believe I got every one of them wrong, just as I did on most of the ones I encountered in my review, but somehow I still passed. I think most of them are still just samples that aren't actually counted in determining whether or not you pass or fail, but I could be wrong. Even now, I don't know how in the heck I could have studied for them. My advice is to just eliminate the options that are way off, and check the options that sound reasonable. I will tell you, though, each time I got one my concentration was totally thrown off and I needed to regroup before continuing with the next question. It also was really hard when I got a couple of them in a row. It was like, "give me a *******' break!" Good luck, qtmarvel! I'll pray that you don't get any!

those SATA **** me off, I had those things atleast 3-4 times with the last two nclex I took. I made me loose my focus, and really bothered me until I stood up and left. I did also had atleast 3 computation on dosage and IV with the last one, with grueling 260 question in 5 hours and 15 minutes. One of the reason why it took me 2years to get up and study again, I hope on my fifth one next year I can make my NCLEX-RN.

There is a review guide titled Saunders Strategies for Alternate Items Format from Linda Silvestri which is good for those SATAs and hot spot questions.
