Sometimes BLS includes emergency administration of ephi-pen and proper abdominal thrust or heimleich maneuver, and some couple of extra stuff, like signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest. My Army Recruiter at NY did that for me. The best option you have is to talk to your career/guidance counselor at the school you are trying to get your MSN, to give you details on how to do it. All I did was bring in Original copies of Transcript, Diploma, Graduation Certificate Letter and official reciepts from UST to my Military Recruitment Office then they brought it to NCC-NY and got it evaluated, got it back in 3 days. you will probably need the same documents so be ready to have them handy at all time. I dont think the risk of loosing one's license and the amount of reprimand you'll get is worth even looking for such "sneak peek" questions. Not only unethically, its also degrading to oneself, do you think you can practice knowing to yourself you cheated. I am just throwing my two cent to it. one the side note: those "sneak question" would most probably removed from que bank already, you think BON is not on top of this? just saying.

all the site recomended is correct, but it would behove you to ask your career counselor in school your enrolling so that they may direct you to their school accredited Education Eval company, they will get your credential evaluated in no time. Like they said, you will need a couple of classes to complete US BSN before you can enroll for MSN. Classes will be mainly focused on English and Math, of some sort. Not sure how its done in civillian but in military they used NCC-NY for my credential evaluation during my recruitment, and my certificate letter says my credential is equal to Bachelor's Degree. According to the representative I talk to and coorespond with, you can take it as much as you want. the only thing you have to wait is the 45 days processing period, as far as NY state is concern. and all you have to pay is the Pearson $200 fee everytime you take it. the lady said once your in the system you are in, your qualified to take it already. I never heard anything about taking away previlage as a nurse, just remember you pass the nursing school your competent enough to practice under supervision, so the only loophole I can think of are, the situation where your practicing under limited permit / Limited RN permit, if you dont pass NCLEX RN while under limited permit that then they take it away, that the only thing I can think of as far as previlage your talking about. Note: It would be best to consult your State Board of Nursing for situation like that. I did and OPSED of NY was very helpful, and so as BON. good luck.

Let's see, aspiration most possibly. But the point here is, you did your best with your scope of practice. Stuff like this happens almost everyday, I feel like crap when the first patient I lost under my care. Also, my patient was in great AOX3 talking to me all of sudden, he slouched and slid off the chair unconsiously, coded kept him alive until EMT/Paramedic took over and he just passed away. I know I did everything I could with in my scope of pratice, but when its time its time. At least you guys got him a fighting chance. :top:

those SATA **** me off, I had those things atleast 3-4 times with the last two nclex I took. I made me loose my focus, and really bothered me until I stood up and left. I did also had atleast 3 computation on dosage and IV with the last one, with grueling 260 question in 5 hours and 15 minutes. One of the reason why it took me 2years to get up and study again, I hope on my fifth one next year I can make my NCLEX-RN.

If you are planning to study by your self, any of the mentioned books are great. you might want to check NCSBN Learning Extension, they have a pretty good course syllabus. Note, I am using it right now.

Actually they [including other services] did banned Smoking during out on ships and Subs, and other missions, but they didnt ban any other tabacco. Most smokers, using dip, chews, patches, gum, and patches, it depends on Commander's discretions. I personally use chew when I ride with the tankers and ammored vehicles, you'll get the same buzz if not stronger. And yes, there are policies in wearing pink underwear under white uniforms , kidding aside, me I just use thicker type of clothes used for my uniform so that my underwear won't show.

this is only my +0.02 I am a smoker since 12yo and still smoking, and I DO A DAMN GOOD JOB of BEING A NURSE. A lot better than those I work with who all talk no work being done, when I got to this country and took oath to defend this land, all I hear was Democracy and land of oppurtunity. I dont see this policy giving me oppurtunity to show what I am capable of as a Nurse, and as Man, and the democracy of choosing whether I want to smoke or not. Btw what will be next, policy on what underwear should a wear to work?
