Hello All! I wanted to start a new thread for all of the Connecticut Community College Fall 2016 applicants. The deadline is a month away!! Lets share our scores and hope that all of our hard work and dedication will pay off!!!

Nursing GPA 3.55

Teas 74.7

AP 1 B

i wish I had done better on the Teas and in AP, but whats done is done and all I can do now is pray! I have selected Norwalk CC as my first choice and Gateway as my second. I am excited to hear from you all !I hope we all make it!!!

@nursingmajor88 don't be discouraged, there's ppl who got the bare minimum and got in!! Never allow yourself to be discouraged based on other ppl stats & or what you hear, don't count yourself out! It's based on your total score for a&p1, gpa & teas! Good luck

@nursingmajor88 I agree with Twash, Don't get discouraged! Your GPA is great and so is your A&P grade..that 75% of the battle right there. I don't know what the applicant pool looks like this year, or what the average is, but there is still hope so don't fret!

I am applying into the program. I received a 78% on my TEAS (25%). B in AP I (25%). A- in Chem, A- in AP II and B in AP I (50%), the nursing GPA is 3.47. I cant wait to for the decision, please post if you hear anything from the school. Looks like a lot of you on here, did well on your pre reqs and TEAS. Good Luck all!

We're halfway through March and decisions should be made sometime in April if they stick to past years . . . anyone else starting to get antsy and nervous?! lol. :nailbiting:

Do you know how they will notify us, email or snail mail? I am checking both everyday.

My understanding is that if we're accepted (and I think if we're wait listed, too) we'll get an email to our school email and we'll see it on the CommNet site. If we're not accepted we'll get snail mail officially telling us. I also heard that when wait listed we'll get a letter in the mail notifying us of our rank in line. :-) Decisions probably won't be made until mid April, but I keep checking periodically to see if they'll ever fill out that column "Score/Grade Met With" next to all the requirements. I want to see what grades they're making a decision off of!

So happy someone started a thread for the 2016 applicants. I applied to NVCC as my first choice and Gateway as my second choice. Best of luck to everyone. I'm seeing some good stats. Hopefully all of our hard work pays off! :)

Anyone know if Housatonic in Bridgeport will have a nursing program any time soon?

BHSN is no more, but University of Bridgeport. Just opened their BSN program!! Information is on the website, you can apply now as pre-nursing for Fall 2017!!

I heard it is was wicked expensive not sure if any truth to that.
