if the state requires you to have a license in the country you trained then you need to discuss with them their requirements.

hi guys! i just want to know if ct-nur (verification of licensure) form is really needed with the application of nclex-rn in il., because i haven't taken the board exam in the philippines and i have no plans at all to take it because i am not staying there anymore. i'm really confused with that form.

[color=#292526][color=#292526][color=#292526]and plus, is it okay for me to apply here in il. again coz i already applied in california bon, but haven't receive any replies yet. thank you guys i hope you could help me clear my mind.:crying2:

Why are you asking the same question over and over again?

That doesn't change requirements, if you want to take shortcuts, you have to deal with the consequences.

hi pilipinayganda.. im a phil nursing graduate too and i just passed the recent board examination. based from what i read before Illinois does require you to pass the local licensure examination from the country where you graduated. i also too had the plan before not to sit for the NLE in the phils but then when i learned about that matter i decided to sit for it instead just to make sure. Are you a US citizen or an immigrant? because if you are US citizen then you're not eligible to take the Local Board Examination there in the Phils and you can actually reason that thing out. however, if you are only a green card holder or a dual citizen just like in my case(i was born here in illinois but my mother applied dual citizenship for me) then you are still eligible to sit for NLE and because of that Illinois BON would definitely question you why you didn't take the local boards.

sorry. obviously im new here. i am just exploring all this things.

oops im sorry about that sharrie..:wink2:

i read your reply before the moderator was able to delete it. best thing to do is to call the agency and ask them directly about that matter. maybe the reason why they're telling you that is that most filipinos commonly apply nclex for california that actually doesn't require you to pass your local board examination where you graduated. each state has varying regulation regarding nursing licensure. btw i read another post which says that you can actually disregard the CT-NUR form since it's already included in the CES. CES includes a form that the PRC needs to accomplish regarding your License their in the Philippines. so it makes sense that you really need to have a license back there in the philippines. btw, where exacly are you here in illinois?
