Hi all! I know it's early in the game, as the previous application cycle just ended, but I'm applying to Gateway's ADN program for the next cycle and felt like comparing stats.

My Stats

Bachelor's Degree in non-nursing field from UConn

School I'm applying to: Gateway

GPA: 3.69

A&P I grade: A

TEAS: 90

Rank: 93.625

 

I'm very nervous about acceptance because I heard Gateway is one of the more competitive schools and a nurse at the LTC I'm working told me they won't accept you if you have a chem grade below A even if your GPA and everything else is high. Is that a myth or true?? My UConn chem grade is B-, I've never been good at chemistry. But my A&P I and II and all my other courses besides microbio are A.

One question: Does anyone know how many apply to Gateway on average and how many get accepted?

All items are showing up as received after contacting the school. Only thing not showing up as received is my proof of high school completion.

Does anyone's application still show not received. All my documents have been received but not updated yet. I emailed ct community college several times and they forward my email to ———- who has an automated response.

What do you mean they're received but not updated? As of last week mine were showing up as not received & I contacted someone. Now they are showing up as received.

I was told by admissions they received my documents , transcripts, TEAS, immunization however they still show not received. 
the person who I emailed confirmed receipt but she doesn't handle CCC review process. 
 

who did you email?

I emailed ————- so many times and he NEVER got back to me. Try ————-, she responded to me within the hour.

I would definitely call today, decisions are supposed to be in by next week...

I don't think we're getting decisions on 4/5, (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) responded to the email I sent two weeks ago saying my app is submitted but decisions are "delayed". Didn't mention a date, just told me to keep checking my email. ?

That would be very irresponsible of them. If they will be pushing the date out further they should definitely be notifying us. 
Are your items still showing up as not received? Did you get ahold of anyone?

They're received now but the uconn transcript they needed (which reflects on my current un official transcript) they omitted for some reason. I got ahold of (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) & (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). I emailed him inquiring if they're setting a new date and haven't gotten anything back yet. Honestly I'm sure its chaos cause of the schools merging but still. How much longer do we have to wait, I literally applied in October - relaying to check for updates in my email is alarming. Why not set a new date.
