CT-CCNP 2015 applicants

Published

Hello,

I've seen similar threads for previous years applicants. It would be fun to get to know some of the other applicants and be able I share info and cheer each other on. I'll start,

i applied to NVCC and chose capital as my second choice school. I got an 84.7% on my TEAS V, an A in A&P1, and my nursing gpa is a 3.7(ish) I believe.

I am taking A&P2 this spring, and have to jam micro into the summer.. But I'm super excited!

I did! At Gateway.

have you tried the teas books? I bought the one from ATI and the one from Amazon that was like five practice tests and they were huge helps. I took the test twice and went up like ten points.

Wishing you all the luck on your journey!

that teas thing was in response to your comment christa_j !! I forgot to hit reply.

why is BHSON is so slow, mine is under review from 3/6/15....got accepted at GCC.. hoping the letter from BHSON too, so that i cud decide where to go.. "is BHSON better than GCC?" well i was considering BHSON even though i live closeby GCC because they offcer accelerated summer session so u could finish in December, which is kinda 6 months earlier than GCC.. folks.. anyone heard better things about BHSON??

You would only get a diploma at BHSON. I'd definitely go with GCC because even with an associates it's hard to get a job because there is so many BSNs out there competing for the same job as you.

To those wait listed at Gateway I will be denying my spot to go to Bridgeport hospitals program. They have an accelerate option & I live very close by, I attend HCC so I will still get an associates degree through them with BHSN. Good luck to everyone on their journey!

i am still in shock, lol. all of the hard work and sacrifice was worth it - so so happy for all that got in - and for those of you who were waitlisted - dont give up or lose hope ! my road to here was a long one, and hard work pays off - - never give up on your dream. youd be amazed at what you are capable of. best of luck to you all !!! xO

Does anybody know how the waitlist process works?

i believe you will receive a letter within the next week or so - with your actual waitlist position/number - and that letter will have further instruction/info. for you

Oh okay thank you

Congrats coachremson!

Vicki2354 I have the teas study guide. I studied and did the practice test. I plan to dedicate this whole summer to studying because that's what it will take for me to get at least an 80. That's what I hear even gives you close to a fair shot

Pats04 if I recall correctly they never show your gpa
