Hello,
I've seen similar threads for previous years applicants. It would be fun to get to know some of the other applicants and be able I share info and cheer each other on. I'll start,
i applied to NVCC and chose capital as my second choice school. I got an 84.7% on my TEAS V, an A in A&P1, and my nursing gpa is a 3.7(ish) I believe.
I am taking A&P2 this spring, and have to jam micro into the summer.. But I'm super excited!
There are no weekend clinicals. Last semester we had lecture two days a week from 8:30-10:30 and clinicals 7:00-1:00 also two days a week. One clinical group had a 12 hour shift once a week. There are evening clinicals but not as many slots available and there is no guarantee you will get a spot. Those are twice a week from 4:00-10:00. In our second semester it is even less flexible because we are rotated off the unit to OR, PACU, child development, post partum, L&D and NICU. Also for the first couple of weeks before entering the hospitals there is lab time during the day.
Fall registration starts march 30th. Why would they wait till the end of April to send acceptance emails? That makes no sense. Omg... I just want to know already. I got a 67.4 on my teas and my AP 1 grade is A-. Anyone care to share their scores? I wonder if I have a chance. I checked the seats for nursing 101 and there are 162 spots for Fall 2015. Does anyone have any idea on how many students applied??? I'm in anxiety over this all!
