Hello! I wanted to create this for those applying to Cal State San Marcos ABSN Spring 2022 Cohort.

I am looking at the same thing on my portal, "You do not have any pending applications at this time." Does anyone have any insight into this, or contacted the school regarding this?

Definitely double check with the office. I've had questions about my status changing or not being updated right away and they were more than happy to explain. ?

I'm from VC - oh I miss it LOL.

We are online only this term. Our Spring courses (lecture/lab/clinical) will be resuming in person, at least that was the notion during orientation. Not sure what they'll have you do. We have several people from NorCal that are waiting to move until Nov/Dec/Jan.

Our orientation was 2 weeks into the term. The Summer cohort had there's the Friday before the term started. So the answer is "crap shoot"...

Hi! I was hoping to know what your clinical schedule was like. How many days, how many hours, etc. Thank you!

Clinicals don't start until semester 2, so Spring 2022 for us. That said I do have some information about how it all works. The number of clinical hours you have to complete for a given course is dependent on the # of units it is. For example 2 units is less lab/clinic hours than a 4 unit. In our first clinic semester we've been told we will have at least 1 clinic day at a skilled nursing facility, plus our lab/lecture day. Because the Summer session is significantly shorter and the same # of clinic hours must be completed it gets spread over multiple days. So my cohort in semester 3 will have 3 clinical days plus a lab/lecture day.

The clinics range from 8-12 hour shifts. They do try to place you by your zip code (San Diego and Riverside county) to a reasonable distance site I.e. a Temecula student wouldn't go to Chula Vista, but no guarantees.

does anyone know if they are still accepting for Spring/what points they’ve accepted?

I was accepted November 8th with 35 points. I remember being told that they do waves of admissions every two weeks. They send out a wave, wait for people to accept or deny, then send out another wave. The cycle repeats until they fill up all 60 or so spots. Not sure how far along they are for Spring admissions, but try not to stress it. Remember worst case scenario, your application will still be considered for Summer and fall cohorts :) good luck!

Has anyone got a rejection email, but CSUSM web status still doesn't say anything?

I called 2 weeks ago and I was told it was still under review.

My point is only 33 that I know there won't be miracle. I am just curious how come I still haven't received any update from them.

It is almost December. Are they still reviewing applicants?

They don’t send a rejection letter because they carry over your application to the next cycle

Hi everyone!

I applied for the Summer cohort in Temecula because I live in Riverside County, but I just checked my student center and it said I was admitted for Spring?!? I know my application is still on the list for Summer, and I will probably decline for the Spring. Did anyone else have this experience?
