I too received my acceptance letter at the beginning of January. I'm really excited to start nursing school and can't wait to meet the rest of the cohort! I live in Carlsbad and will be commuting to Temecula initially. If anyone wants to carpool, let me know :)

Hello!

I received my acceptance email earlier today ðŸ˜„ however, I'm still waiting to hear back from other programs so I'm not quite sure what to do yet. I know this is a great program so I'm really considering it. Do we only have a couple of days to post our intent to enroll? I was hoping I would have a bit more time to decide ðŸ˜ž are either one of you waiting to hear from other schools? I live pretty far away in the San Fernando Valley lol

@ElizabethH736, they give you 2 weeks to accept and pay the deposit I think.

Do they know if we'll be at the Temecula or SM campus? I was told Temecula for summer cohorts but that it might be SM this year. IF it is Temecula, I'd be willing to carpool, as I'll be commuting from Encinitas. The consensus thus far is that they aren't doing a good job at keeping us informed ; however, I suppose it's still early...

Hey! Congrats to those accepted so far. I've submitted my intent to enroll for the summer 2015 cohort and am excited to meet everyone! I just assumed that since it was a summer cohort, it would be in Temecula, but reeeeeally wouldn't mind if it were in San Marcos since I'll be commuting from San Diego (La Mesa). Davidthemurse7, did extended learning tell you that? I'll try not to get my hopes up...

Really??? I do hope it is in San Marcos! I live in Escondido and it will be such a timesaver than driving all the way up to Temecula. Where did you hear about this? From what I've heard, it's usually 1-2days lecture and the rest are clinicals all the way from Riverside to South SD so there will still be lots of driving. I hope they update us soon, especially on the background check, orientation and the start date of the program! It'll be summer before we know it!

It was actually from someone over the phone that said that it may, or may not, be in Temecula or SM. But as dbiggs mentioned, lectures are only few days a week so commute won't be killer either way. I've already went through the background check process. I assumed it was a collective thing since they gave me a deadline.

David, can you share the info about the background check. Thanks. I haven't gotten any email aside from that orientation information where they said it'll be in june-august. I read previous threads for the past cohorts where someone missed the orientation because they were sent the info late.
