CSUSM 2023 ABSN Program

I submitted my application last month and have received my evaluation. I have a total of 43 points. I am curious as to when we will receive our acceptance letters. I'm so eager to hear back! 

This thread is for everyone applying for the CSUSM ABSN program, Fall 2023. I hadn't seen one, so I thought I'd make one! Feel free to share your stats, ask questions, exchange information, and discuss your experience. Best of luck to everyone!

Hello, thank you for making this thread!

I submitted my app mid-Feb and I received my evaluation sheet on March 8th (I think I got my eval early because I'm a student here and they already had my transcripts in the system), and I received 44 points!

Hi everyone! I just received my eval today and looks like they gave me 41pts. I was looking at past posts for other cohorts and looks like we won't hear until May ☹️ Super excited and anxious to find out!

I go to CSUSM too and got my evaluation that day as well! Congrats on 44 points yay!

Me too! I saw some posts that said they heard end of April, so maybe if were lucky we might hear a little early? I'm so anxious to find out!

Hii!! I applied to the ABSN program on March 1st. Hopefully I hear back and get my evaluation sheet soon! Did they email you guys?

Yea, they emailed it to my personal email and it was titled "Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Evaluation". Keep us updated when you get your eval!

I asked one of the counselors and she said first round of acceptances should be somewhere in mid (or late April). Afterwards they slowly start sending them out in batches thereafter until the cohort is filled.

thank you so much for making this thread! to those who have already gotten their eval sheets, about how long did it take to get this back after submitting your application? I think I may have to wait a while because I literally submitted my app 4 days before it was due. if someone could please let me know it would be appreciated!

I applied February 21, and received my eval in the email this morning! Although, I couldn't view my points because there was a weird formula error...

I got my eval about 3 weeks after I submitted it, but I sent all my stuff way early before Christmas last year.  I'm assuming it's going to be a bit longer since they have a flood of applicants and I have heard from previous cohorts it took about 6-7 weeks if you submitted it closer to the deadline.

I would contact them as soon as possible because the first time I submitted it they said "0 points" for everything (including the TEAS score that I have already have completed as 0) because if one thing is missing (which was my last prereq that I was doing at the time when I submitted my app) then the whole point sheet is counted as 0. This could mean that there's something missing in your app, so you might want to just clarify with a counselor.
