CSUSM 2023 ABSN Program

I submitted my application last month and have received my evaluation. I have a total of 43 points. I am curious as to when we will receive our acceptance letters. I'm so eager to hear back!

This thread is for everyone applying for the CSUSM ABSN program, Fall 2023. I hadn't seen one, so I thought I'd make one! Feel free to share your stats, ask questions, exchange information, and discuss your experience. Best of luck to everyone!

I would contact them as soon as possible because the first time I submitted it they said "0 points" for everything (including the TEAS score that I have already have completed as 0) because if one thing is missing (which was my last prereq that I was doing at the time when I submitted my app) then the whole point sheet is counted as 0. This could mean that there's something missing in your app, so you might want to just clarify with a counselor.

You know what? That makes a lot of sense. I have a Comm course I'm currently taking, and that might be why it's giving me an error. I did contact the advisor via email and also called the school . They said to submit an evaluation correction form (which I did), but now I'm thinking it should be fixed once I submit my In Progress grade.

I managed to get everything in and my application approved the day before it was due, and received my evaluation today - 43 points!

It's only been a few weeks, but I'm already so anxious to find out if we got in. I wish I could press FF on life until the end of April!

Good luck everyone ?

Im at 42 points.

I'm still debating between ABSN and MPEN schools. What makes yall choose ABSN?

I'm really happy for you! That's an a great score! I turned mine in on March 7th also but my transcripts got there later. I'm eager to hear back.

Oh, guess our year is pretty fast then and last year was horrible. Unless this means our cohort is small this year then...

I'm in the same boat as you. I had one CC having a delay in their transcript delivery system so they sent it to CSUSM about 2 days after application deadlines. I wonder if that's why we haven't gotten our evaluation sheets. very nervous because I spoke to the admissions officer who told me that in some cases, if the transcripts are late, it means we aren't necessarily considered for fall admission but rather for Winter.

I think both options are pretty pricey but ABSN is usually shorter.

? I hope that's not the case but I suppose it would give me more time to apply/hear back from other schools. I'm applying to different ADN programs.

Hello everyone, is there anyone who still hasn't gotten their evaluation sheets back? Just wondering if this was just me..

Yes, it goes to your personal email address (but it might drop into your spam folder by accident). The subject line was "ABSN Evaluation Worksheet". They attach it to the email as a .PDF and the body of the email says:
