CSUSB FALL 2021

Hi! I was wondering if anyone is applying for CSUSB's Fall 2021 admission? I have not seen a forum, yet. However, I wanted to make this forum, so we can share our stats and help each other out during the process. ?

During my info session, they said that if people had already completed the Chem prerequisite under the old requirements (one semester of Intro/Gen Chem) then we didn't have to meet the new requirement for admission for Fall 2021. But they said if not admitted for fall and want to reapply for Spring 2022, then the new requirement (2070 or equivalent, which at my CC is two semesters with the second being organic/biochem) would have to be fulfilled. So I decided to take the second course this term, even tho I completed the old requirements in 2019, just in case I don't get in for fall. I hope that makes sense.

Just to clarify you took one semester of introductory Chemistry and are currently enrolled in organic/biochem? Does that mean your introductory chem course fulfilled part of the pre req for chem and the course your taking right now will complete it?

Both of the courses were one semester each. Here is the agreement, it's from 2019-2020, but it still applies!

Thank you so much, Can I ask how your experience was with your organic and biochem course? I've only taken introductory chem and am a little nervous/worried about organic and biochem as I've heard it's a really hard course. I have a 4.0 right now in pre reqs and don't want to ruin my GPA over this course.

Yes, I took one semester of introductory Chemistry (Chem 4 at my CC, College of the Desert) which fulfilled the old requirement. I'm currently enrolled in organic/biochem which, with intro chem, fulfills the new prereq requirement. If you applied for this fall and already took an intro course, you won't need the organic/biochem. But if you're applying for next Spring or don't get in for fall, then you will, so I'm just making sure my bases are covered. I am finding that O/biochem is more challenging than my intro course, because a) it seems to cover a lot more information and reactions and those are tough without being able to be in the lab and b) it requires using spatial intelligence pretty frequently. That's not my strong suit but my professor recommended that I buy a molecular model kit to help visualize molecules in space and it's helping a lot. And it's actually really interesting now that we're getting to the biochem part!

The course is extremely easy if its like the one I took at RCC. Pretty much you just learn how to name molecules if I remember correctly. You should do fine.

Hi,

Have you guys signed up for Fall 2021 Orientation? I just got an email saying it's about to hit deadline. I'm wondering if it's mandatory before the Nursing program admission?

I got the same email too. We have until May 1st to pay and do the orientation. 
 

my anxiety is through the roof! ? they said end of March... I wonder if they will wait until the last day to send out the emails. 
 

has anyone received the nursing email yet?

I believe I got in too! I got a "congrats" email.

Does the email say "You have been conditionally accepted into the undergraduate pre-licensure BS in Nursing major (BSN) at California State University San Bernardino Campus, beginning Fall 2021. We look forward to you joining us in this challenging and rewarding program."?

I am so so shook! I did not think I would make it b/c my stats were: 3.91 GPA, 85.3% TEAS, bilingual, NONLOCAL! There's hope OMG!
