I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSUSB Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions about application deadlines, letters of recommendation, points, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!
Well I'm in GA so going to an info session wasnt in the cards for me lol.. but yes I did see the app! I was trying to find the rest of it! Oh and i just learned yesterday that we have to send our transcripts seperately to the nursing dept even though the main university has them all. Ive moved way too much and had like 8 to send in lol oh man. :)

I knew about the transcript thing. I was surprised that the application is so short! It stinks that after we apply we have to wait until JULY to find out if we got in
I asked that question awhile back, the lady in the nursing dept said that they just look up what address you have on MyCoyote. Which will have all that information when you are accepted to the university, officially. I guess we have to wait till late Feb for that decision?
Ok so for the TEAS report do we have to purchase a transcript to be sent to the nursing dept? I tried doing this and literally the ONLY Cal State that wasnt available to choose was San Bernardino. So I'm really confused. Or, are we just supposed to print a sheet from the score report we are able to view.

This is a little late but here's my input if you havent asked anyone for a letter yet.. In the directions from CSUSB it says specifically "no templates".. There isn't a length minimum it seems. They don't need to write a novel anyway. We just get a point each from the letters rather than them being truly analyzed or anything like that. I ended up just asking my sweet Anatomy&Phys professor if she would be able to write one for me over winter break. Professors should have no problem wanting to help you with your future! As for the "character" letter I am going to ask a nurse at the hospital I work at. Or I might just do a proof of employment. If i wasnt employed in a health care environment, then any employer who can attest to your hard work and good character would work! Being gracious, professional and grateful is the way to go! Good luck!
