CSUSB BSN Fall 2020

Published

Hello everyone,

I wanted to create this forum so we could share stats, ask/answer questions, and talk about the admissions process. When I went to the past informational meeting they said the following stats were for the past year admittance:

  1. Average overall GPA: 3.7
  2. Average Pre-Req GPA: 3.53
  3. Average Overall TEAS: 85.5%
  4. 300 qualify for application review and 45-50 are accepted

My stats are

  1. Overall GPA: 3.843
  2. Pre-Req GPA: 3.861 (assuming I end Bio 223 with an A which is what I have right now)
  3. TEAS: 87.3%
  4. Bilingual
  5. County Resident

Excited to be in the program! See you guys at the orientation!

Any of you guys working? From my previous info sessions, students and professors shared their experiences and said that it is really hard to work while you are in the program and highly encourages students to focus in school and not work. I am a bit worried about this since I have bills to pay...

Hi! I will be working throughout school too! I know the program will be harder but I managed to go full time for all of my pre reqs and GE courses and still work 5 days a week. I’ll probably need to cut down a day if necessary but I still plan to work because I live on my own and have bills as well ?

I think being VERY organized and planning your day out is key!

Keep us posted! Even if it doesn’t happen this semester there is always next semester!

Do you guys know if this coming semester is going to be all online?

I think some will be like lectures but I know they are making exceptions for courses and labs that need to be in person

I got in touch with them today and they told me all lectures will be online and half way through the semester there will be on site labs or clinical assigned- which would mean we wouldn’t do anything in person until mid october (around that time)

Did any non-residents get in? If so, what was your GPA and TEAS? Bilingual?

Hey guys On the compliance requirement deadlines it says we need to turn in the “HIPAA Certification” and “Universal precautions & Blood borne pathogens” by July 29th. What are those?
