CSUN's application is now open for Fall 2020 ABSN admissions. I just wanted to create a thread for comments, questions, information, and more!

Doesn't seem like they are canceling it. I emailed them and they stated that they plan on letting us know our status at the end of May.

This is the response they had sent me. Also on my north ridge portal it says they have received my transcripts but nothing about the letters of rec and other stuff we mailed in. Is there anything on anyone else’s?

I'm so confused. I emailed someone from the department and they said late May. I really don't know at this point.

Mine is the same, just shows that they have received my transcripts and my immunization records. I assume that they won’t show all that until the decision is made, since our other documents all went in together.

I’m so confused as to how a mid to late July notification would even work for a mid August start date. I really hope we learn much before that. This is incredibly stressful.

So my guess is that they will notify us this month (mid/late May) and the late July is the actual start date of classes.

This was my impression as well. I thought this was always the timeline.

Yes this is what I saw as well.

Emailed them this week regarding when we would start hearing back:

"Accounting for the number of applications received this time around and with the current pandemic, the Department is anticipating that this will happen in mid-to-late July this year"
