CSUN ABSN Fall 2020

Hi everyone,

CSUN's application is now open for Fall 2020 ABSN admissions. I just wanted to create a thread for comments, questions, information, and more!

I spoke to them before everything with COVID-19 began and was told that we will know in 4-6 weeks from the application deadline. It’s been 6 weeks today so it might be delayed. Also, classes were gonna start in the fall so that should be end of August not June 1st.

Looking at old forums, people have said that they were told ~8 weeks from the application deadline, but I feel like it's not too likely if they've got a big applicant pool.

Just based on previous application deadlines and when people started getting acceptances, it seems like it could take up to 12 weeks (May 19th for us) and for the Spring 2020 cohort, it took almost 15 weeks for people to start getting their acceptances. One week later, everyone else got denials or were admitted from the waitlist. The cohort before that, people were admitted from the waitlist up until the end of December (19 weeks after the deadline).

There are so many factors that we don't know though so I'm just checking my CSUN email every day and trying to be patient. ?

I tried calling yesterday but I was not able to get in contact with anyone. I will keep checking my CSUN email daily and hope for some good news. Thank you! ?

I wanted to know how you guys were able to set up your CSUN gmail?

You should have gotten a link in the email inviting you to activate your CSUN account (the email they send after you turn in your application). The link is: http://my.csun.edu

Then click the big "set up your Gmail" button (I think that's what it said, mine says "log in" now) and set up your Gmail using the CSUN email address provided to you in the same email mentioned above. The password should be the same password you use to log into myNorthridge Portal.

“If you do not know your CSUN email address, you can obtain it by logging in to the myNorthridge Portal and visiting the Student Center (SOLAR). Your CSUN email address is located under Personal Information.”

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone knew the deadline dates for the Spring 2021 application period? Thank you and good-luck to those that applied for Fall 2020 :)

That voice message is old, they have 2 cohorts now. The Spring 2020 cohort deadline is sometime in the Summer I believe late June from what I remember, but email the school to make sure.

Is anyone concerned about this program being canceled for the foreseeable future? A couple other programs have canceled. I'm a little worried!

I have a friend in the program right now. According to her, they are still holding classes so I can’t see them cancelling!
