  1. Hello, I attended the Interview Zoom sesh but I don't remember if they said that our interview responses needed to be from clinical experience only? can it be from work experience for example outside outside of a hospital setting, does anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance & good luck to everyone ?
  2. Hi! Thank you for your insight. Do you think it is possible to have a part time job while in the program? I understand that for Summer, it might be hard since each course is 5 weeks long vs 8. But wanted to know if there's enough time for a PT
  3. Hi... I hope u guys are doing well! Happy thanksgiving. Has anyone heard anything about Spring '21?
  4. Hi guys, anybody have an idea or know someone who has successfully completed the program and has landed a job as an RN at one of the local hospitals.. LOL I know we haven't even started the program, but I am curious to know what the job outlook is for graduates within the first year after graduation... please LMK if you know ?
  5. same here! that means we are being offered fast track right?
  6. OK got it.. yeah 1,500 for one semester is a bit much LOL.. I guess I'll be renting books.
  7. If I do end up going there, I'll most likely work part time. I have a CNA license so I will probably try to find something as a CNA do you know if they meant this for overall price for books? For tuition I assume they meant 4,000? LOL
  8. HI!! Thats good to know, I don't know anything about that college, but I am glad I applied. I have been meaning to talk to someone who has completed the nursing program there to get a bit more insight. The only way I will go is if I get into their "fast track" program. Otherwise, I will wait on EVC and other Fall programs. Samuel merrit and ABSN programs overall are amazing but I don't qualify for federal student aid so I can't qualify for those loans. otherwise, I would do it. I am considering San Mateo and they have a conjoined program with SFSU so you complete both ADN and BSN in 2.5 years. But thank you for the info! I will keep in mind if I don't get in anywhere else. Hopefully I get a miracle and get into SJSU though LOL.. but good luck to you too!! I feel that, I live so close to SJSU.. yes good luck with your applications! I know you will get into a program.
  9. My GPA should be somewhere around that as well, if not lower. I have gone to technically 4 institutions so it's hard to determine that at this point LOL. But thanks for your positivity. I got a 92 on my TEAS, I might retake it but at this point, I might settle for an ADN degree. So far, I have gotten into San Joaquin Delta for Spring, so I recommend that college since it seems like our stats are not far off. I am probably going to move over there depending how promising the program sounds. A lot of things are up in their bc covid. so IDK. I have applied to EVC as well and im awaiting their response too. I think that at the end of the day, as long as you are licensed you should be fine and then you can try to get your BSN after.. so you should consider ADN programs as well if you haven't yet.
  10. I am second bachelors student. I feel like I am not competitive for this school but I tried anyway. if I don't get in, I might come back after completing my ADN and apply for their RN-BSN. But I will see.
  11. What other programs have you guys applied to? I only applied to SJSU and Delta college all the way in Stockton for the Spring... I got accepted there and they might offer a "fast track" program ~16mo but for an ADN. I have applied and I'm in the process of applying for Fall '21... so I am pretty torn right now. >.<
  12. I am hoping for fast track too. do you have any idea when we will know about fast track? I am in the process of getting all my stuff together to make the move if that happens as long as I get everything in order.
  13. Thanks for the positivity ? How about you? Will you be attending delta? Thank you so much.. yeah I have never been to stockton so I am not famliar with any nearby hospitals. I am planning to head there this weekend to check it out. Fast track is the only way I will move over there.. since I have consider renting over there. otherwise, I will wait on fall programs here in the Bay Area.
  14. I applied with 82. I am hoping to get more specifics in regards to clinicals. I know here in the bay area, clinical opportunities are limited.. not sure if it's the same in that county. Does anyone know where Delta does their clinicals at? BTW I was not offered fast track yet... I am just waiting to see if they will be offering it for Spring
  15. For Spring I only applied to Delta and another school that might not even admit for Spring due to COVID. sooo I accepted Delta. I am just waiting on confirmation about the fast track program. I am not from the area, so I will have to move there most likely. There's possibility of me commuting since I am hoping didactics will be online but IDK yet. The thought of graduating class of Spring 2022 sounds so good.
