Have you guys received the email confirmation for the Doodle zoom meeting? It said to wait 1-2 days for the zoom link. It's been 3 days now. I clicked on the date on Wednesday, maybe an hour after it was posted. Now that I re-click on the doodle link that was sent to my email, I am no longer able to click anything, my name is not even on that page. This makes me really nervous because I'm not even sure if I wrote my name anymore because I did it using my phone.   

*Edit: I just rechecked my email, apparently I received the email on Friday, so it hasn't really been a day, much less 1 business day. Looks like I'm just as nervous as everyone else!

@hsinyofu I received the email Thursday, signed up immediately, and haven't heard anything. They might be backed up. I confirmed on mobile too, but as long as you saw that "Confirmed!' message, I think you're fine. I hope, LOL. I panicked also, because I did it on mobile. If others on here start receiving confirmations and you don't, it can probably be fixed by contacting them.

In years past, from what I’ve read, they’ve had a one-on-one communication exercise with a partner, as well as a group exercise.  No idea how that’s going to translate to Zoom, unless they send us into breakout rooms with a proctor...?

I still haven’t gotten a confirmation email, but I didn’t get the invitation email until Friday evening, so I’m not expecting to see anything till tomorrow.  For those who have gotten the email, what information was there regarding format, questions asked, etc.?

As for the likelihood of getting in - I’ve heard that those who are invited to the communication exercise have a high chance of being offered admission.  SO EXCITED ???

One other thing.  Looks like in most years they send out acceptances by November 1!!  Getting down to the wire... good luck everyone! We’re almost there!  ?

I haven't gotten the confirmation email yet either, but I'm hoping it'll give us a preview of what to expect. Thanks for the info about the likelihood of acceptance--it's amazing to know that we have a high chance!! I'm actually so nervous for this hahahah. I hope we'll get in!

I’m nervous too!!  I feel like my communication skills are better in writing than in person... I always feel so awkward, LOL.  I am sometimes a nervous talker ?

That happens to me sometimes too! But hopefully this year it'll be easier to speak over zoom...IDK LOL. The thought of seeing everyone makes me feel more at ease though ? It's just the wait that kills me!!

They invite 120 and pick 80. Previous years around 110 people would attend, but that was due to people living in Nor cal and the airplane flight and travel made it a hassle. With it being a zoom meeting, I'm expecting all 120 or close to 120 to attend. From that 120, 80 will be offered admission based on score and then around 15 or so offered waitlist. 

Sounds like we're so close and almost in! If they offer admission around November 1st as opera2nursing informed, I would be so relieved. Shoot, I'm taking 5 in progress science classes at cc just to be eligible to apply to UCI and UCLA, which has a deadline of November 31. I must pray to the nursing admission gods everyday till they offer me an acceptance.

I recently received an email from the nursing administrative coordinator inviting me to the online communication exercise for Spring 2021. I am nervous because the link she provided in the email isn't letting me schedule an appointment, but I've already reached out to her and am waiting for a response. Do you guys know anything about what the exercise entails? I've heard before covid they would do group activities as well as a written portion in person. It's in a couple of days so I'm doing my best to prepare. 

I look forward to hearing from you all ?

Definitely email for a response. I tried to double check my response because I wasn't sure if I put in my name and it wouldn't let me reschedule.

Thank you!! my issue is that the website won't let me select a time slot. So I emailed her again to follow up and hopefully there is still enough slots available ?

Possibly awkward question, but I'm just curious, has anyone heard anything about the likelihood of receiving scholarships/grants from CSULB?  If I'm admitted, I'm hoping to receive more than just loans... haven't seen much on the message boards for prior years.
