CSULB Spring 2020

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone!

I couldn't find a thread for the upcoming spring admission, so I thought I should start one. Who is applying to CSULB this upcoming semester for spring 2020? I've finished all my pre-requisites. I just need to take TEAS which I am taking in early June. I would love to hear from other applicants and current CSULB nursing students.

Hope to hear back from you all and good luck :)!

Under the "BSN Program FAQ" here, it references sending in transcripts, so I know we will have to provide them at some point.

My game plan is to wait and see what kind of information is contained in the e-mail that we are supposed to receive, and then go from there. As of now, I can't find any specific info on when transcripts are due or what format they should be sent in (mail/paper or electronic/PDF).

Has anyone received an email from CSULB after applying through Cal State Apply? It's been 8 business days and I'm still waiting. I called admissions today and they said it's taking them like 2 weeks. Am I the only one that's been waiting this long?

I submitted my application on the 10th, so I wasn't concerned yet about the fact that I haven't received an e-mail from CSULB. Thanks for checking in with them and letting us know about the delayed response time.

I just received my response with CSULB code this morning. Did anyone else?

Yes, I actually got mine yesterday ?

Hello, future RNs!

I recently submitted the supplementary nursing application form and was wondering if I have a chance at CSULB with my cumulative score. Thank you!

My stats are:

Science GPA: 4.0 (4 points)

General Education GPA: 4.0 (2 points)

Overall TEAS: 70.7% (1.416)

Reading TEAS: 72.3% (1.446)

Military: (1 point)

Total: 9.862

You’d definitely be denied for your TEAS scores if it weren’t for the fact that you have the military point. Due to that, you will have one of the highest points in the application pool. Congratulations! That must feel amazing.

I just received my CSULB code, but just to make sure it says online that the supplemental application doesn't open until September 1st right?

I believe transfer student needs to complete additional application in order to matriculate into the university; however, the nursing application is a separate application in which require to complete the form by September 10th.

Right! Thanks for clearing that up! Has anyone submitted their transcripts? Do you also receive a confirmation email after doing so?

No, I think we have to wait until they tell us to submit them, which is probably going to be once we're admitted.
