CSULB Spring 2012 BSN

Hello everyone,

I'm applying for CSULB this Spring, transferring from Palomar College. Just finish all of the application today. Anyone else applies this Spring? Good luck to us all :yeah:

Hey guys just wondering if any of you can help me with this slight problem. So i was creating my magnus health tracker account and accidentally clicked on the wrong tracker.. I chose the trimester option instead of the "New Student Orientation Health Tracker."

How do i change this?

Just call their customer service line and they can switch it for you instantly. They are very helpful there!

Example:

Say your following grades are:

Chem- A

Physio- A

Anatomy- B

Micro- B

A= 4 points, B= 3, C=2

Chem= 4 points x 5 units= 20

Physio= 4 points x 4 units= 16

Anatomy= 3 points x 4 units= 12

Micro= 3 points x 4 units= 12

Total points= 20+16+12+12= 60 points

Total units= 5+4+4+4= 17

Science GPA= 60 points/ 17 units= 3.529

You can also do A= 4 points, B= 3, C=2 so that using the grades above:

4+4+3+3=14

Science GPA= 14/4 classes= 3.5

This isn't as accurate though.

thanks! this wasn't confusing at all. what's confusing me is that i took anatomy and physiology at in the summer and they were a quarter program, so total it came to 10 quarter units for my a&p grade (5 units for A&P I, 5 units for A&P II). when i transfered it to CSULB they counted it as 3.35 units per class. i got an A in chem and A&P and i'm taking micro right now, and assuming i get a B in micro i calculated my science gpa and if they use the 3.35 units my overall science GPA would be lower than if they used the 4 units which is the amount at csulb. lame!

with magnus health portal, I went to NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION tracker..

it's really confusing...i've been posting some pdf files...but am i suppose to attach with others?

what am I suppose to do with driver's license? type 10/xx/15?

CSULB pre-orientation is not clear at ALL...and I didn't know we're suppose to do this before orientation.

So ..it's better to wait for orientation...

Is anyone else having trouble accepting admission to the university using the MyCSULB website? I don't have any link that says "accept/decline" anywhere. The page is literally blank, except for some how to guides that are useless.

I went to the office and turned it in...less stress.

Did everyone who already set up their Background check and magnus get an email specifically from Magnus?

All I do is go through Certified Background to access my magnus account, but I was wondering if I should be accessing it in a different way

Are you talking about for just transfers? Where did you hear this?

I read it on CSULB's website....supposedly they dont have enough money..go to the nursing homepage and look for the application for fall 2012, it should say they arent accepting. I would call to find out first before you get worked up.

I did it the very same way. I was confused because the documents we had to print out said we had to do all these weird steps. However, I called magnus or wtv and they told me that they arent doing it that way anymore because it was too confusing for many students...so as long as you can access it that way, your okay :) just make sure your uploading your documents correctly. You can call and ask them to look at your profile and they will tell you. I wasnt able to see my drivers liscence, so I called them and they said it just may be my computer that wont allow me to see it, but they said it was uploaded perfectly...so give them a call. They're really helpful :)

This is just the Entry Level MSN/Program which they don't have funding for 2012. The next cohort for the ELM program is Fall, 2013. There is a Fall, 2012 Cohort for the Basic BSN. The application is online.

No problem!

Semester and quarter units are not equiavlent. Each quarter unit is equal to 2/3's of a semester unit. So 5 quarter units times .67= 3.35 semester units.
