For those moving to long beach, I was wondering if anyone has found a place in a nice and safe area. I've been looking since I found out I was accepted into csulb, but it seems to be hard to find a decent place in a safe area!

@c521 you should look at other cities close by l.b.. I live in Huntington beach, it's about a 15min. drive for me if I take the pacific coast high way

Thanks! I'll be looking around at different areas the day before orientation so hopefully I'll get an idea of where to move!

Hello again everyone!

I hope everyone enjoyed their thanksgiving weekend! I still can't believe that our first day of school is just around the corner. I'm also really excited to be meeting you all this Friday! I know that long list of requirements for orientation was a bit overwhelming but hopefully most of us are finished with it. If anyone still needs to get their CPR card out of the way, I'm actually taking a class this Wednesday in Long Beach with Pro-CPR. I believe there's still room in the class but it's better to email about signing up to be safe. I got certified by them last year so I know it's a pretty well known company since many local nurses were also being certified there as well.

Anyway, I was on campus last week dropping off some financial aid papers and decided to drive around the area to look for apartments.

See you all Friday! :)

I just got your PM but I guess I don't have enough posts to reply. Maybe you can just PM your email and I can send you a map a friend of mine actually made for me that outlines Long Beach and her suggested areas to look at.

Does anyone have to get a booster for their HepB test? I dont know if that's to personal, but I just want to know where you're getting your booster or redoing your HepB shots because my doctor doesnt carry it.

I'm immune, but I suggest getting it at the Long Beach Department of Health at 2525 Grand Ave.... They have all immunizations at pretty good prices and it's never busy... Just call them for an appointment and you can get any shots you need!
