CSULB Spring 2016 applicants!

Published

Everyone who is applying post your overall scores!

i am currently at a 9.48! I think I might take the TEAS again to try and bump up my score.

I got into spring 2015 with a 9.44. I think the cutoff for our group was around a 9.32. As for alternates, yes they are usually csulb students due to issues with enrolling transfer students past a certain date at the actual university. Less alternates get in for spring though, just due to less people applying in the spring as a "backup" like people do in the fall.

Also, to the poster who posted about being worried about getting rejected from the university, you do not have to worry about that. I had some mediocre grades (in non pre reqs)from a previous school I attended before I decided on nursing. It doesnt affect your nursing school admission. Basically nursing school decides if you are admitted, and they let the university know to accept you as well.

Just took the TEAS one last time and my score is now at a 9.65! Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone!

I have a feeling that spring is not going to be as easy to apply to with all of the high scores! I recently took the TEAS and got a 92% overall and 90% on the math portion. I believe my score is a 9.37, but crossing my fingers that I can get into the nursing program!

your score is 9.4, not 9.37 i think

hello I am applying for 2017 i have a question for the people that took the teas, how many questions are there per section, is the overall teas hard. which section was the most challenging, and what type of questions do they ask in each section? i'll be thankful if anybody answers my questions.

wow did you guys see the newly updated Basic BSN Applicant Pool Statistics page?!?! the range was 9.92– 9.55 for Fall 2015... so that means the lowest score to get in was a 9.55 right?? I'm so sad... I dont even know if I should apply :(

what is your stats, I heard that Spring is gonna be easier.

I have a 4.0 science GPA, 3.75 or 3.5 general GPA (I took my English at UCR.. it was the most hardest class i have taken in my entire life...) and just took the teas for the first time and i scored below what i wanted (it was so hard to concentrate on reading!! i was so nervous that i guessed for exactly 13 questions.. i lowkey went to the bathroom and cried after this section LOL) but i got a 90% overall and a 93.3% in the math section.... i think i have 9.41... i feel like imma be right below the cutoff......

FOR ANY FUTURE APPLICANTS: dont wait until the last minute to take the TEAS.... i sure wish i could take it at least 1 more time to bump up my score.....

I don't get why you have 2 general GPA while you had submitted the application. However, your stats is as same as me, and I'm gonna apply this coming Friday. so, you have me on the same board with you. Just be optimistic!!!!

When I wrote this, I had not applied yet. I just talked to SON about what English class they would like me to use on the application, so I have a GE of 3.5. I hope we all get in! Have any of you guys taken pathophysiology, sociology, psychology, or pharmacology? I wonder if taking those classes increases the chances of getting in....

I've taken psych, nutrition, patho, pharm and sociology is in progress. I think it might give you aneed edge if you have the same number of points as someone else who hasn't taken those classes, but I think that's about it.

4.0 Science

3.75 GE (only counting 4, also got As in Psychology and Sociology, but unsure if they account for this)

TEAS Overall: 95.3%

TEAS Math: 100%

If only 4 GE classes are counted, I have 9.78 points. If all 6 of my completed GE classes are counted, I have 9.82 points.

I hated the grading system of GE classes; most of the time it seemed so ridiculously arbitrary.

hey! new here, also applying for spring 2016. Just retook my TEAS today (for the fifth time) and got a 92.7! I got 2 Bs in science though and A's for the rest of everything.

All your posts are making me so nervous! i hope we all get in :(
