Hey everyone! Just wanted to start a new thread for us Spring 2024 applicants. Im making this pretty early but would be nice to have others looking to apply to CSULB.

as long as the chem transfers it should still count. my impaction isn't as high as yours but someone with a lower score than mine also got in. I'm hoping we'll get an email within the next few hours.

The way they explain it on the website is very confusing to me. You either need to have Chem 140 OR a general, inorganic, organic, biochem, or integrated with lab. For example, I took Chem 1A from my school but maybe I was supposed to take a general chem in series (like 1A & 1B). I sent an email about this on Friday but still no response from them...

I think it's different! I'm sure you'll get a response soon.

Im 2nd Bachelors too and didn't get one! But I did get the further review email !! I think we're okay for now, they have different ways to decide for us! Im hoping they look at overall school standing and such. Good luck!

I recently graduated from the BSN program at CSULB. I'm from cohort 0823T In order for you to be considered for the program, you must receive an invite to the communication exercise. If you did not receive an email inviting you, you are not being considered for the program. The only people that will be waitlisted are the people that didn't make the cut after the communications exercise. They typically invite 120 candidates to the communications exercise of those approximately 80 candidates will be sent acceptance letters. Of the remaining 40 some will be waitlisted, and the rest will be rejected. They send out the invites to the communications exercise all at once.

Hi OMG congrats!! how did you like the program and how prepared did you feel for the NCLEX? also if you can remember how were the interview questions, I've been trying to prep the best I can.

Thank you. As for the NCLEX, the program prepares you well. I took it five weeks after graduating and passed in 85. At first you will hate the exams, but those are what will prepare you for the licensure exam. As for the communications exercise they will separate everyone into groups and ask each person one question. They aren't difficult questions so I wouldn't really worry about practicing for those. They may be a something as simple as how would you define integrity. There is also a written exercise. This one is important. Essentially, you must be able to quickly articulate and write a few paragraphs regarding the information given in the video. I believe they give you 10 minutes to write.

Ahh congrats!! Getting in CSULB is a dream!! Do you know how they go about selecting the 2nd bachelors candidates? I feel like theres been so little info given to us for that pool and this is my top choice, for academic and financial reasons!
