CSULB MSN FALL 2018

Hey guys, I thought I'd start a thread for this fall's 2018 cohort!

I applied to the FNP program at CSULB. How about you guys? And also did you hear

anything regarding on when they're going to send out acceptance letters?

PNP, it was one of the least impacted programs. Also, I haven't officially received anything from the SON or CSULB. Other than what was on my profile. I had the same experience with CSULA and CSUDH though. I applied to their MSN Ed programs and seen the updated status online before I got any official notice. But from my understanding, you have to receive both, admission from the CSU and SON.

Wait so did you apply to csula and csudh for fall 2018 as well for their Np program?

No, I applied to CSUDH and CSULA for their MSNed Programs. My long-term goal is to go into education, but CSULB doesn't offer an MSNed, so I applied to the PNP program since it is something I am very interested in as well, but plan to add a semester to gain the Nursing Education Certification.

How about you @Iseeyoumurse? You said you applied to the FNP program? Did you also apply at other schools? I felt I had to apply everywhere to increase my chances of getting in somewhere :happy:

Ahh I see, well I hope you get in! CSULB supposedly has one of the best programs out there in the state. I applied to FNP, but have not heard anything yet. I was told it was supposed to be some time this week

Dang. I still haven't heard anything yet and I applied for FNP. Hopefully this week we will know one way or the other.

I received my acceptance email last night, after they sent out the email that they have until April 24th to decide due to the amount of applications they received. I wish the best for everyone! Hopefully we can all start this fall :)
