Congratz on getting accepted! I'm in the same boat as you. I checked the self application status and saw that I got accepted, but I'm still waiting for an email to come.

I’m still waiting for an email too. However, I was able to activate MyCSULB and there is an option to accept (or decline) your offer of admission and pay the deposit. I think if the self-service says you are admitted, it’s safe to assume you’re in.

Congrats on getting in! How were you able to activate your MyCSULB to accept the offer?

When you go to MyCSULB, there should be a link near the bottom of the page that says “activate account”.

Thanks! Did you already accept it? I want to but I'm still kinda wary since we haven't gotten any official notice of being accepted. I don't wanna pay the deposit and somehow it turns out I'm not in, you know? Although I've already told most of my family and friends that I'm in lol

Not yet—I’m not sure if/when we should be expecting to hear from the SON, or if we’ll just be getting emails directly from the university, but I get what you’re saying! MyCSULB has a “to do” list that says official transcripts are due on April 14 so I’m going to make sure I send them this week.

@helloivy So your to-do list has submitting official transcripts on it? My to-do list on MyCSULB is empty This is so confusing lol I really hope we get official notice soon.

Hey guys, I'm new to this thread but I've been following for some time. I checked my application status and it says I'm ADMITTED ? I saw it said once we get the official notice, we have 48 hrs to accept. Something in me wants to click "Accept/Go" (SO BAD) but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too soon... Not to scare anyone, but I was offered admission to CSUCI under my alternate major yet denied from the SON. Luckily, I was ready for the disappointment because I got the rejection first and then the acceptance for my alternate major.

Do you think CSULB will send out the emails this Monday? The SON said it would take up to 4 weeks, which is the second week of April. However, I'm thinking the emails should come in sooner because that's during spring break and I don't think they'd send emails while the administration is out.

Welp you scared me lol. But from what I understand, CSULB admissions needs the okay from the SON before they can deny or offer admission to anyone. So if it says admitted then that means the SON must have sent the list of all the students they will be accepting for Fall.

The SON’s website says that if you are not offered admission to the SON, you will not be offered admission to the university. Unless something has changed, my understanding of this is that CSULB won’t be offering admission to an alternate major.
