CSULB Fall 2014

U.S.A. California

Published

Hey everyone!

Did anyone else apply to CSULB for Fall 2014? The school app was due last Saturday, and then we have the month of January to submit for the School of Nursing.

Based on previous threads, it looks like we are invited to an interview about a month after the deadline, and the cutoff was ~9.1 points.

Here are my stats so we can see how we stand this year!

Science GPA: 3.58

GE GPA: 3.77

TEAS: 97.3

TEAS Math: 100

I think that works out to about 9.4 points... the average keeps rising each year, so it would be nice to see where we all fall!

Good luck everyone :)

Ya, you just have to call at the right time.... I have called and gone straight to a machine that doesn't accept messages, and I have called and got through to director also.... It's a crap shoot

I've been trying to call too and it does the same thing, goes straight to that machine. It's ringing right now, but noone's answering :/

I mailed my application in. I got an automated email from the admission director letting me know that they received my applicatio. but it also says to not call the department at this time and that she cannot answer them. Hope this helps!

I keep calling throughout the day but I don't even get a ring. I got an email saying my application is incomplete and to send my TEAS transcripts, so I ordered them from ATI to be sent there but I wanted to make sure they received them :/ I sent an email a couple days ago but still no reply.

I just wanted to call because I haven't received an email at all! Anyways I got a hold of them today and she told me she is still working on getting all the applications in the system. She also told me that there were like 600 applications in front of her, so im guessing lots applied this year!

600!? That's insane. looks like the averages will be pretty high this year. Last year the applicants didn't hear back for interviews until the middle of March. Applications closed a few days ago and I'm already going crazy!

Does anyone know how to calculate your score if you got AP credit for a ge requirement? I took AP English and passed it so I didn't have to take my communication fundamentals class. My overall gpa is 3.96 and I know they calculate your points without these scores, so how does it work?

Ps, I got an A in stats, critical thinking, and oral communication)

omg 600!!! now I'm really scared :( Do you guys know how many applicants are being admitted each semester? Did all you guys apply for the basic program?

Oh wow! 600 seems really intimidating. They usually admit between 80-90 per semester!

Good luck everyone!!

I checked on their website. They are only acceting 72 students this semester:nailbiting:

Aahhhh :( and I bet the cutoff is going to be so high this year with all the applicants! I wish we'd hear something soon :(

Yeah, I'm pretty scared now! Seems like it's gonna be more competitive. Where does it say they are only accepting 72 applicants? I just read that it is anticipated that 72 students are going to be accepted each semester, but that was written back in Fall of 2013 and more students were accepted in the Fall of 2013.
