Hi!
I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!
Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?
Staying local:I would think it is more of financial issue. If you live with your parents or other family, you would probably pay little to nothing in housing. Plus the headache of having to move your stuff, finding a place, and relocate to an area you may not be as familiar with. That's just my guess!
Yeah thats a good thing to take into consideration. Money... and familiarity. But do you think it would be a good experience for someone who has lived in the same place all their life?
My score was a 9.2 with a course in-progress. It honestly would be a pity if you transfers didn't get in. You guys have amazing stats. It's no wonder that this semester set the record for highest averages. Congrats once again for those that got in! All your guys hard work has paid off! I hope the wait was worth it!
The alternate list is supposedly consist of 20+ students. For those who are alternates, don't lose hope. There are always those who choose not to accept their acceptance for whatever reason. It's not a definite rejection.
I'll try and check the nursing building sometime this week to see if they posted a list like they usually do.
So if EmilyESmith is alternate 15 with a 9.086, then i'm guessing i'm number 14 (or close to it) with a 9.09. I'll email her right now to make sure, but I probably won't get a reply until tomorrow.
To those that got in, does the email give you a deadline to either accept or deny the admission? I'm surprised us alternates didn't get an email.
And 30 alternates? Does anyone know about how far down the alternate list they get on an average year?

No deadline given in when to accept. The emails says that we should be receiving a contract in the mail within the next week. I'm sure that will include a deadline among some other pertinent information.
I would be aiming for the trimester program. Anyone else thinking of that? I know it will be tough, but I've been in school awhile now and I'm ready to get on with it already, haha.
Also, for those of you transferring, is anyone else transferring from out of the area? If I accept, I will be looking for housing and am wondering if anyone else will be looking for places?
