CSULB Fall 2012 BSN

Published

Hi!

I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!

Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?

Yea, I would rather be like super early than uber late!

How come everyone BUT ME knows their room numbers? She didn't tell me diddily squat!

Anyone excited? Gosh I am both excited and nervous but when I am really nervous, I smile A LOT. Like a freak. If you interview at 1pm and your in my group and you see a blonde white girl smiling for no reason..that would be me lol

Phoenix ;) There is nothing wrong with smiling :lol2: Better to look like you are happy to be there than terrified! Gosh, I am sort of worried about when I should leave now. I am coming from Irvine, which is only about 35 min south of CSULB, but I have only driven there twice and never in the morning. If my interview is at 9 am do you think leaving my apartment at like 7 am is too early? I am super anal about being late so getting there early is just fine with me :) Many people say that there is very little traffic going from Irvine to LB so hopefully they're right! As for the rest of you, may traffic be nonexistent or at least light (we can only hope considering its SoCal...) and drive safely!

For transfers who want to get capstones out of the way, you guys could take them in the summer at CSULB if you're so inclined to.

In case I forget, I just want to wish everyone an amazing interview. It should not be something we should stress over. Just be ourselves and we should be fine! Good luck!

Marina: I will leave my house around 7am because I have to drop my daughter off. Sometimes, there is little traffic around Seal Beach, but it's not too bad unless there is an accident.

I am very nervous now...

If you see an Asian lady ( I am not young :p), it's me.

See you tomorrow.

Jess, I'll look out for you when I get there :) just stay calm, its the best thing you can do for yourself! And by the way, I'm a young European looking brunette with big wavy hair. Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow :) stay positive everyone!!

I'm actually leaving around the time I use to when I did my volunteer work at the hospital so I will be there super early. My interview is at 9am so I will most likely be there at the latest 8am lol. I just want to make sure of where I'm suppose to meet at if I happen to get bad luck and be running late. I'm just excited and nervous to get all these interviews done without making a fool out of myself! :)

I like your guys' description of how you look. Imagine going up to someone who looks the same as their description and saying "hey are you so-and-so from allnurses?!" and they say "Um.. no." Then you'd be like Oh.. :uhoh21: Haha! And as for the nutrition courses, we should double check with the nursing school that those courses are equivalent before applying to the CC's. Who knows, they may have accepted it last semester but changed the rules this semester. I will probably ask more about this if I know for sure I will be going to CSULB for the program.

Also, I wouldn't get your hopes up to park in Lot 1, I used to park there when I had 8 AM class and it would be full by 7:30 AM. I would recommend parking in Parking Structure 1 next to the pryamid and walking over or else you mind end up circling around parking lots for like 30 minutes (no lie). If you guys park in the structure, it is really simple to get to the nursing building. Just follow all the students across the ramp (to get to the ramp go to the first floor of the structure, exit the structure and walk opposite of the direction of the pyramid) and when you get to Brotman Hall/fountain area you'll see the Family Consumer building across the street. Cross the street and walk down past the Family Consumer building and the Nursing building is right there :)

DarkBluePhoenix-Is there only one interview group each hour? My interview is at 1 also, so are we going to be in the same group or not necessarily? I'm pretty sure she said room 36, but someone else said they are in room 26...so maybe I heard wrong

I don't think we will all be in the same room. So far I've seen the following interview times : 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM. Since there are ~100-120 students who will be interviewed, there will probably be 25-30 people at each time. There will probably be three different rooms going on with 7-10 people in each room. I'm not 100% sure, but that seems how it will be :)

I have NO idea what room I am in. I dont think my friend that is also with us at 1pm knows where he is going either. I am coming from the north east. My interview is at 1pm I think him and I are meeting at our school at 1130a. I know we will get there early but I want time to find parking and find the building. Maybe I should call to get my room number? I dont know, I bet the 'helpers' will all have lists and point us to where we are going.

As for anyone else that is going at 1pm I will be the blonde 20 something year old and probably be wearing a grey shirt and black slacks with black shoes. I will also wear my black balls necklace. its just big black balls that go around my neck. I will stand out.

Who else is at 1pm with caligurl9 and I?

Ya think they are still interviewing the 110 like they did last semester?! I thought 102 got invited, then lucy got an invite at last minute. You think 8 or so didn't get back in time. So no more 68 students in this years cohort!?
