Hi!
I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!
Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?
Just called the Nursing Department and the lady was actually very helpful. Of course she gave me the run around with how many are going to be accepted (between 85-90). She did let me know that since it's open to 2nd bacc. students, they've received 100+ alone and expecting to see it quadruple! So that's not even including non-bacc. applicants! Whaaaaa.
I'm surprised the lady that answered your call was helpful! I never want to call another nursing school again after my experience. And wow, so 400-500 undergrad applicants + ~400 2nd bacc. students all for 90 spots? That's scary. Still about 2 weeks left of the application cycle and that's when they probably get the majority of applications. I wonder when they will post the statistics of the people who got in for Spring 2012.
They accepted 2nd degree seekers last semester for Spring 2012 as well! And based on the CSULB Spring 2012 thread, the number of applicants didn't change greatly and the averages stayed consistent with past semesters. I expect the number of applicants to increase for Fall 2012, but those projected numbers seem very exaggerated to me, sorry.
They seem exaggerated to me too. I was just predicting the total by taking the general number of how many undergraduate students apply to the Fall semester programs plus what the previous poster said about there being quadruple the amount of 2nd degree seeker applicants. But we'll never know :)
I don't know you guys... we're obviously as informed as any other applicant, possibly even more since we spend time in these forums. And if we're just finding out now that would-be MSN applicants can apply to our program, chances are that not too many people know about it, right?
And if they didn't know this back in november when university apps were due, then they probably didn't even bother applying because they would have known that the MSN program had been cancelled for the semester. So even if they learn about it now at the same time we are, they're too late unless they're already CSULB students.
I could be totally off, but i'm trying to think of anything that will keep me from postponing nursing school until next January. I'm keeping my hopes up until i get an official 'No.'
Which brings me to my next question, if I took my TEAS at CSULB i don't have to send them anything, right?

Sorry for my rant. I haven't worked in a few days and this waiting period is taking a toll on my mental health. Just ignore my side rants :)
