Believe me, I had the same issue picling between CSULA (my home school) and CSULB. 7 min. vs. 45 minute commute.I ended up choosing the school I've always wanted to go to since senior year of HS which was CSULB. I hope I get into trimester though, only then it would be worth the commute.
Oh haha. I thought you already got your lab results? Btw how long did the background check take to process?
And yea I get what you mean. But that's the thing, UCI has been one of my dream schools ever since I moved down to california. Csulb was just one of my back up choices until i visited the school and researched more about their program making them of my top choices now. I won't be commuting since I'll be living on campus. I know both are commuter schools but which one do you think would be the more social environment?
And hopefully you get into the trimester then! It seems like a lot of people want that since it finishes the fastest O.O.
And another thing my parents brought up is that a couple thousand people apply for the uci nursing including mostly freshman and they only take in 10-15 transfers each fall so the think uci would be an amazing opportunity for me.
UCI apparently only takes in 30 freshman and up to 20 transfer each year O.O

Yeah well the choice is up to you. When I hear nursing schools, I hear CSULB a lot as well as CSULA. Not much UC's because they specialize/well known for other majors. But you should definitely look into UC if that's always been your dream school. However, if you're looking for socializing since you will be on campus, I say CSULB has more of that over UCI.
To answer your question from your other post, the background check took about 2.5-3 weeks. As for my lab results, I do have them but I'm only missing Hep B (Which the doctor probably has a copy of). I need to go do my physical and get the flu shot/TB test again because it expires like every year/season.

Thank you once again for your help and advice. I will take everything you've said into deep consideration.
Ah I see, I just got my titers for MMRV and Hep B last week as well as renewing my chest x ray exam. So I just got to order that background check and get a physical :).
Hi, I have a question about the health requirements. If we got the titer and it came back "non-immune" and got the booster for it, do we need to take another titer test? And for HEP B, do we need to complete the booster series? ( Cause I only have 1 booster done rn )
Thanks!
This is info from the SON website:
3. If the titer for a specific disease shows that you're not immune, you need to get vaccinated or re-vaccinated (also known as getting a booster).
4. Once vaccinated, titers should not be drawn until 6-8 weeks after the vaccination.
Hope this helps :)
Hmm I didn't get an email but I emailed my contract this week and got a confirmation email from M.W.
OMG YOU'RE GOING TO CSULB :) yay!
I guess those who didn't turn our contracts in got the email. There was only a few that got those emails
I swear I forgot that we even had to turn in that contract. I would have been screwed so bad lol
