Hey!

Just wanted to start a thread for those of you planning to apply for the 2013 ELM cohort! Let's hope funding goes through and the program will be good to go for next fall!

So excited! Look forward to seeing/hearing from those who will also be applying! Good luck :)

Thanks so much for that informaton! I wasn't able to get that much information out of the coordinator and Im deciding between two schools.

For everyone who's been admitted and know for sure that they want to accept admission AND like me, too anxious to wait until the 10th.... you can activate your CSULB account on myCSULB (using your ID you received when you applied to the university) and go to the student center of your account and accept admission! Congrats again everyone!! :)

Hey guys I was able to talk to the coordinator, and she confirmed that the BSN portion is still 16 months, although there were talks to make it longer. Also students are guaranteed their NP specialty, and that Peds will take about 3 months longer since there are more clinical hours.

I've still not gotten a rejection nor an acceptance. Based on this thread, I'm leaning towards a rejection since it looks like acceptances went out on April 24th...siiiiiigh anybody in the same boat? Thanks!

@Badumjan don't give up hope yet! I'm sure some people are going to turn down the offer and spots will open up. In this case no news is probably good news!

For the Facebook group: if you search for her Facebook page via her email addy [email protected]. You can click her about and see the groups she's in. You should she CSULB ELM there and the. You can join after you click it.

We have an ELM6 cohort member that got accepted late June which was after our orientation. There may be others who got accepted in the summer that I do not know of. So there is hope. :)

@ siberiantiger: can you comment on the ability of students to work part-time during the program?

Do you know if the NP portion of the program is designed to allow a student to work after they are awarded the BSN?

Have you talked to any graduates of the program? Did they have a hard time looking for work?

Please if you have a chance, I would appreciate any feedback.
