CSULA MSN/NP Fall 2014

Published

Hi Friends,

I applied to CSULA's traditional MSN/NP program for fall 2014. I am wondering if anyone else applied? I hope we can keep each other updated on this thread.

Thanks!

I work in the ER. Never really worked anywhere else except at a long term care facility and home health as an LVN before.

FNP was my first choice and acute gero was second and I currently work on a med-tele floor. I spoke to one of the undergraduate professors at work today and she mentioned that they spent last weekend reviewing our apps. Crossing my fingers for us all to get in!

Omg. The closer we get to knowing the more nervous I get....

Does anyone know if the program can be done part-time?

Yes, I believe the program can be done part-time.

Has anyone gotten an e-mail from them yet?

Not yet...its driving me crazy constantly checking my phone...

Same here... 1 more hour till 6pm..

Just received this email from JR:

"Due to unforeseen circumstances the decision emails were not able to be sent today, you will be sent your email decision by end of business day (6pm) tomorrow,

Sorry for the inconvenience."

Just received an email of acceptance for anp!

I received acceptance for CSULA's ANP program today via email.

Congratulations you guys! I got an e-mail saying that I'm on the wait list for their AGNP program, but fortunately I got accepted into CSULB's!

By the way, do you guys know if CSULA officially changed the ANP to AGNP? Because from what I heard the Adult and Geriatric NP are now combined. That's why at CSULB it's called Adult/Geriatric NP.

Weird! I don't see my response from several days ago but anyway, congrats all of you! Unfortunately, I'm on the waitlist for FNP and I believe the chances are slim to none :( I'll have to try applying to more schools next year as I put all my eggs in the csula basket this year.
