Are you in the regular program or post masters? I’m assuming that the post master’s is more rushed overall so they possibly wanted us to get the clinical sites hashed out prior to school starting.

Hi! I'm currently in the program and will be graduating next week. Originally I started out by being a campus student then switched to distance halfway into the program due to scheduling issues. Overall , the program is great, but the workload is tremendous (never ending papers, group projects, discussion boards). Classes are very structured and the school itself is very organized.For the most part, the professors are nice with a couple of extremely hard graders here and there.

Weird! I don't see my response from several days ago but anyway, congrats all of you! Unfortunately, I'm on the waitlist for FNP and I believe the chances are slim to none I'll have to try applying to more schools next year as I put all my eggs in the csula basket this year.

Not yet...its driving me crazy constantly checking my phone...

FNP was my first choice and acute gero was second and I currently work on a med-tele floor. I spoke to one of the undergraduate professors at work today and she mentioned that they spent last weekend reviewing our apps. Crossing my fingers for us all to get in!

Hi guys! Just decided to pop in and wish you all good luck on getting in! Mt SAC is a great school with wonderful professors who will really help prepare you to become competent and good nurses. FYI, previous years they took approximately 90 people per semester which were split into two classes (I graduated 2009).

I work for one of their sister hospitals and when I got interviewed as a new grad a few years ago, the interview consisted of all the unit directors and some other management level people bombarding you with all types of questions.
