CSULA FALL 2020

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello. I wanted to create this forum for people who are applying to Cal State Los Angeles for Fall 2020. This is a place where we can discuss and compare statistics between us, as well as ask questions regarding the program. Thank you and good luck to you all!

Hey random, but we weren't supposed to send our high school transcripts were we?

No, we weren’t. They said to only send our official transcripts from our other colleges when ask by the admissions office. The wait is killing me.

Okay thanks for your reassurance. I think I’m just looking for reasons to worry lol. The wait is killing me as well. Hopefully we hear ASAP! Last year people got emails around March 11

I know! I am the same way. Plus, I applied to 6 other schools and their letters come out in March so my anxiety is through the roof?. Hopefully, we get into the programs of our choice. Is CSULA school your first choice?

CSUF is my first choice. I would like to stay in the OC area. CSULA is my third choice.

Does CSUF not accept transfer students? After a lot of research I was reading that CSUF only accepts students who are enrolled at CSUF currently, so that is why I did not apply. My dad lives in la habra and I would be willing to move in with him...

I am enrolled at the school but I am not going there this semester. They have a policy called “stop-out” which allows you to skip one semester but still be enrolled in the school. So I’m talking the semester off and applying every where. What other schools did you apply for?

Yeah it’s quite annoying how CSUF only accepts people currently enrolled. They are basically making it so only the people who live in that area get in. Oh well. Anyways, I only applied to CSULB and CSULA. Those are the only two CSU’s that offer a BSN Traditional program that are a reasonable distance from me. I just got the communications exercise email yesterday from CSULB so I would imagine I have a pretty good shot of getting in there. I’m hoping I get accepted into CSULA though since it is closer to me and would be an easier commute. Hbu??

Curious if anyone got an email from admissions inviting you to apply to the Honors College at CSULA? Wondering if this is a good sign.... Not sure if they sent this to everybody or if I should consider this a positive sign that I might get accepted? LOL. I don’t see the point in being asked to apply for honors if they aren’t even sure you will be accepted yet LOL. Does anyone know if there are any benefits of doing this? It’s kind of an annoying process and I’m wondering if it’s worth the hassle of getting letters of rec and filling out that application and mailing everything out LOL

@ninja1968 I got the same email. I feel like it's just a generic email for anyone who is transferring... but also who knows?

Gotcha thanks for the info. I’d imagine the nursing students got one since we all have crazy high GPA’s ! That said, I’m curious if it is worth it to apply ?
