Hello. I wanted to create this forum for people who are applying to Cal State Los Angeles for Fall 2020. This is a place where we can discuss and compare statistics between us, as well as ask questions regarding the program. Thank you and good luck to you all!

Hi,

I was denied from CSULA at first, but then I appealed because why not. I just got an email last night at 1:30am saying I was admitted to the nursing program. I'm curious if this has happened to anyone else? I have a good pre req and cumulative GPA, but my TEAS is OK. I am also not local. It just seemed a little weird haha

if you read back through the comments (I know it’s a lot LOL)... this actually happened to both me and @nursingtings.

Although, I didn’t really appeal... when the acceptance letters came out on March 12 I emailed Yvette directly from SON right away and she told me there was a mistake and I actually should’ve gotten accepted. I got an acceptance letter literally the next day LOL. I have a 92% on my TEAS, 4.0 pre-req, and 3.95 cumulative. As well as volunteer work at kaiser and work experience as a medical massage therapist. I was surprised when I got denied at first but happy they acknowledged the mistake and ultimately accepted me LOL. Nursingtings appealed the decision and got an email a couple of weeks later saying she was admitted.

I would imagine many people declined the offer by this point so I’m sure many people off the waiting list are being admitted now.

Really??? Thanks for the update. I wonder why mine still says incomplete ?

nursingcas verified my transcripts before when we were applying and I know I put everything correctly on my application so IDK why they are taking so long to verify them. ?

btw just type: Cal State LA Nursing 2023 Into fb and it should pop right up? If not you can pm me on here and give me your fb info and I can invite you to the group

Thank you! CONGRATS to both of you! I am still deciding and waiting on two other schools, CSUSM and CSUSB. If I go to CSULA, I'd have to move there and CSUSM is much closer to me. But if CSULA is the only school I get accepted to I will definitely go. Do any of you guys know if there is anything else we need to send after we're admitted? I sent my official college transcripts and AP test scores, but do we need to send an official TEAS score?

HI, did anyone receive any information about orientation on July 15th?

@jessicannn We received more information via email on June 26th! They included a list of necessary materials, fees, orientation agenda, health clearance forms, etc. If you haven't received this email, try emailing (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME/EMAIL)

Hi, thank you. I received it on June 16th, too. Also, can you successfully join the facebook group? I tried to join, but the administer seems to not accept me.
