I've been reading the thread of CSULA Fall 2014 nursing applicants & wanted to start one for this upcoming CSULA Fall of 2015. I am extremely eager to know how many points people have. I have 24pts & am going to retake my TEAS this upcoming November. Those who are interested as well, please don't be afraid to comment!
http://drmagrann.com/Nursing%20Schools/CSULAciteria.pdfI found that and I thiiiiink the points are the still the same but someone else would have to clarify. If you post your stats on here someone (I saw in a previous page) will add up your points for you. :) Congrats!
Thanks for the link! I calculated everything and ended with 26 points!
@ninjakimura hello! I've also been deciding between CSULB's program and CSULA's program. What have you found that makes CSULA a slightly better program? I also found some websites where CSULA has higher ratings, but I have also heard from people that CSULB is a really great and better program. So I'm really stuck and need to make a decision soon
@nedasol To be honest both are great schools. I believe the only difference may be the location of the schools and that LB is actually harder to get in to. Here is the link to people who were wondering which school to choose from in previous years. I'm choosing LA primarily because of the location. The commute for me is much more practical than LB. Hope this helps! https://allnurses.com/california-nursing/current-csulb-nursing-507018.html
For the people that got their letters on thursday, friday or saturday, how are we going to fax in or turn in our letter in time when the deadline is monday? Pretty unfair for us because they sent it so late. Either way, glad we got something but it would be nice if they extended it just to give us time...

Don't worry, faxing the acceptance form to the SON office was a very quick process. (: I don't know why they want the form specifically by fax and not email because most people these days don't have a fax machine at home! But if you have a scanner you can scan the signed document to your computer, then digitally send it as a fax on a free internet-based fax service, such as Interfax (Fax Sending | InterFAX). I made a 100% free trial account there just to send this one fax, followed the provided instructions, and sent my form. 15 minutes later, I called the SON to confirm if they had received it and they had, no sweat! If you don't have a scanner at home, fax services are available at your local library, Fedex, UPS, Kinko's, and I think also OfficeMax or Staples. I hope that helps!
