I've been reading the thread of CSULA Fall 2014 nursing applicants & wanted to start one for this upcoming CSULA Fall of 2015. I am extremely eager to know how many points people have. I have 24pts & am going to retake my TEAS this upcoming November. Those who are interested as well, please don't be afraid to comment!

I also got accepted this year too and my points were 24. Really happy I got accepted, I was scared at first since my points were only so-so.

My overall GPA: 3.76 (5 pts)

Pre-requiste GPA: 3.81 (10 pts)

Teas: Reading-3 pts English-4 pts

Volunteer experience: greater than 100 hrs (2 pts)

Does anyone if they are supposed to send an email or something confirming they got your application?

I got a call from the school of nursing telling me that they have received my application. It was a few weeks after I turned it on Jan. 5th in person.

This is getting more and more anxious, especially for Danny and I. We haven't gotten nothing yet. And to housyspecial, that is very interesting that you got a phone call. I handed in mine in person as well and I'm a transfer. I handed it in 1 month before it was due and didn't get any phone calls. What is going on....nothing yet.

I agree!! Someone should make a fb just for us, that way we can all share any new information, updates, or questions we may have. :nurse:

Sorry to hear that. I don't know how the SON does things either, but maybe it's because you're a transfer. However, I do know that last year the SON kept sending out letters until mid-April. So don't lose hope just yet and besides your points are pretty high.

the class of 2017 has a private group so the 60 people can start communicating and ask any question we have and get to know each other so when Sep 23 comes around we are all acquainted :) (at least virtually) ps you can kinda tell I'm excited to study with and maybe even work with everyone in the future :)

@shinfo I've been researching on which school to choose between LB & LA. I personally think LA has a better program. It's nice to think that I could be done in 2 years at LB, but I'd rather choose LA bc of their ranking. LA here I come!!!

cookiemuffin, I didn't get a phone call to confirm my application either. I think maybe I got an e-mail (of course, now that I'm looking for any correspondence between me and a certain someone, my inbox is empty)? I even had some issues with my app; I ordered transcripts from one of my schools beginning of December and they got lost in the mail and could not send me new ones until after Jan 5th (the deadline) because the school was closed for winter break. I printed out the receipt of me ordering it, highlighted it, wrote notes on the page saying I'd hand-deliver the transcripts when they came... my point is, I know I e-mailed with the school to check if I was disqualified but I don't remember receiving a confirmation from them.

Have hope! Your points are very high!

Also, anyone find it odd that we don't have any waitlisters yet?

Also... NinjaKimura, while I am very glad to be going to CSULA, my gauge on which is a better program comes down to NCLEX pass rates... CSULB has higher rates every year.
