CSULA Fall 2015 Nursing Applicants (BSN BASIC)

Published

I've been reading the thread of CSULA Fall 2014 nursing applicants & wanted to start one for this upcoming CSULA Fall of 2015. I am extremely eager to know how many points people have. I have 24pts & am going to retake my TEAS this upcoming November. Those who are interested as well, please don't be afraid to comment!

That's good to know! Thank you for the update :))

I called the nursing office and they couldn't tell me my points because they wernt finished with it yet. I don't understand how they could send me a letter saying I didn't have enough points yet haven't finished calculating it yet. 😞

According to what ninjakimura said, it seems like you might have had something missing. Perhaps you should go in person and ask why you were denied.:) Good luck and let us know what happens

The letter said I had all the correct paperwork just my points wernt high enough. I'll go in and ask but they said they can't release any kind of information like that to me yet.

Yea you should becuz it seems odd that you would get a letter saying you don't have enough points when they haven't calculated your score yet  let us know what they say!

So I've been lurking on other cohort threads for CSULA's fall 2015...the absn cohort already got their acceptance letters last week!!! We are next!!! So close yet so excruciatingly far :nailbiting:

@kaylaahsley I'm sure they will accommodate your unanswered questions soon. I'm definitely curious to what happened as well.

I hope they didn't lose any of your paperwork, KaylaAshley! That could be why they said your points weren't high enough, since they couldn't find your TEAS scores or something. That would be very messy and unorganized of them though.. hope you get that figured out soon!

Sigh today being April 1st only makes the wait feel longer..hahaha!

Hey guys, if you attend CSULA & would like to take an Assessment and Care of Patient's Spiritual Needs” this quarter it's on Thursday evenings 4:20-7:30pm, ST 412. It's a fun and easy class, 4 units. Although it is a nursing elective, the info really can apply to any one working with people. Also it covers intro info on major world religions. Hope you guys decide to join!!

Pretty disheartening and anxious this year. The thread is not as populated as last year and csula SON is not on top of their stuff. Last year, it was right on time where people received news days before the April 1st notification day. It was very quick and efficient. Don't know what happened this year...no news whatsoever. Now we wait on SON to do something and also on the lurkers to come out and join our convo and speak their minds (probably after receiving news). Don't mind me, just bored and disappointed at how things are organized and done this year...

This is why I was kinda iffy about reading last year's thread since our timeline could have been (and is) so much different than theirs. We expect things to go a certain way on this date and get even more anxious and disappointed when results don't come... but honestly though what else is there to discuss? I feel like we're just all here collectively twiddling our thumbs haha :)

Hey, guys! I'm a freshman in CSULA and applying for the nursing program this fall for the 2016 program. Any advice you guys can give me? I haven't taken any Biology classes yet, and Ive asked permission from the BIO 200A professors to let me into the class just to observe and familiarize myself with the class before applying for the class this fall (seemed like a good idea to me at 3 AM last week tbh).

So, just any advice will help. I've read through the CSULA application story threads since 2011 and you guys seem to have the most active 2015 thread. So, much luck to all of you! I will be in the same exact spot as you are this time next year :/

I passed by the SON office around 4:15pm, & it was closed!!! They must be working hard on finalizing the applications & don't want to be bothered haha

@premillenium I would say study hard & get good grades. Getting B's in pre-requisites now days is risky and probably won't get you into the program…but then again, I wouldn't know since I haven't heard anything from the SON!!!
