CSULA Fall 2013 Basic BSN hopeful

I wanted to start a thread for students who are applying to CSULA fall 2013 traditional BSN program. Anyone already applied and as anxious as I am to hear the news in April? And if there are any current csula nursing students stumbling on this thread, please share your experiences, tips, or warnings.

Did u guys receive your letters in the self addressed envelopes that were sent with the application?

So I just got a letter stating that I've been placed on the waiting list :/ it doesn't say what number I am or anything. For those of you who got an acceptance letter, when is the deadline for u guys to submit your intent to enroll?

I haven't received anything at all yet...I hope it's because I'm in a different county and not a rejection letter :/

Nessa- how many pts did you have?

@yose if I calculated correctly, I believe I had 22 pts

Yose, how many points do you have? I'm hoping that my letter is delayed also because I live in northern CA. But if Nessa got on the waiting list with 22 points, then my chances are pretty slim.

Nessa, If you are a transfer student, intent to enroll is June 3rd I believe.

For school of nursing ita may 7th and for university its june 3rd, so if somebody decides to drop ull know by may 7th probably and then again on june 3rd

Thank you for the information anxious ansty and mkhm. Wish they told us where we are on the waitlist... they just said they cannot provide info regarding our waitlist status through phone.

@axiousansty don't lose hope! From previous threads it seems like some people got acceptance letters after first wave of letters were sent.

I just went to the nursing office, the first round decline is due to noon, May 7. Right now, only the top 60 were sent the letter. But from previou experience, not all of the 60 students accept, so after May 7, the second round gonna start.

Antsy, I found by accident that u gave up the Rio Hondo offer. Tell u what, I got their offer too, but I accepted it:no:! What should I do? How can I say NO to my ACCEPTANCE? Big headache. How do u suggest? Have u ever heard any similar situations?
