Csula Fall 2014 applicants..

Published

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

@ J Friday fair enough :p

@ J friday:

LA is only easier than CI because CI (including majority of other programs) gives priority to their own students/area. If LA gave priority to LA, then it would be harder for transfers as well.

@ davidg6262

Good luck, there's plenty of different routes to take. We're all going to make it.

@ goalkeeper:

I got an email.

Plus LA doesn't penalize for in progress classes if they did it would be much harder for people to get in as well

Yes… i agree..

There are a variety of factors at the different campuses that make them more difficult to attend. That's why we say that they are more difficult… I was not trying to offend anyone...

It doesn't really matter the reason; there are many reasons... (experience counting or not, penalized in-progress class, points given for speaking foreign languages, priority to current students/residents).

I realize this.. and that is the reasoning behind my previous conjecture. The struggle is real…lol

How we going to get through the struggle. Hang in there we all hang in there together

what did you search for? i am trying to look for it but i cant find it

I can't join these because im WL but for those who already know about their admission status:

If anyone else besides goalkeeper wants to search for the second informational cohort group on fb, were you guys able to search for the following in the search bar:

1. groupsatcsula

2. School of Nursing BSN '17

And goalkeeper created the group that could be searched for also. How come when I went on both there is only three members in each of those two groups? If combined, there could be total of six in each of those two links.

Yes, I am able to search that. But, keep in mind I have a CSULA email address.

There are only 3 members in each group.. I presume is because not many of those admitted know of the groups.

I've been accepted into csula, but I'm still waiting for my san jose state results, which is my first choice. The deadline for submitting our intent to enroll is aprill 11, but I probably won't get my results to sjsu until late april. ugh I'm just torn between accepting or declining csula's offer. I don't want to accept and prevent someone from the waiting list from getting in, but I don't want to decline and risk not having a school to go to if I don't get accepted into sjsu.

When are you expecting your acceptance? Maybe u can accept csula then tell them later on you don't want it after you've been accepted. It would be nice for another chance to get in but it would suck if you rejected csula and then didn't get accepted to your first choice school.

I agree with righteousjenn's advice.

the positive aspect of getting accepted somewhere (known of it 100% already) outweighs all other possible negative aspects. Fill out and turn back to CSULA on time so it could go well.

I do wish responses from all the different, many schools stating our current status(es) could be sent around the same time period to avoid our stress levels from rising.

At the latest, April 28/29. so hopefully I can get my sjsu result before the deposit deadline
