Csula Fall 2014 applicants..

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

It's only started today as the "official" date that people are getting their notifications, best thing to do is wait

60 for the total cohort! Anywhere from 400-600 apply

60 for the entire cohort... So 10% of the accepted class is already here talking to each other...lol

60 students get accepted but priority goes to veterans. When veterans apply their g.p.a doesn't matter.

Really?? Hmmm... I never saw that... So a guy that was in iraq could have Cs in all his college courses, and get in over a 4.0 gpa ?

I don't think that's the case at csula... I think I read that about lb or something but I don't think they do that here or they would clearly state it somewhere. I even read the nursing handbook lol

Before I turned in my application, I met with _______ and I asked a bunch of questions about the program. I asked her how many applicants were going to be accepted and she said it depended on the budget. That is when she told me that veterans, as long as they had a 2.75, had to be accepted before everyone else.

Hello! I've been following this thread for a while and finally made an account. just wanted to add that I have been accepted as well- my score is 24. Also, I searched for the cohort group on Facebook but couldn't find it.. Can anyone post a link? Thanks and excited to meet you all!
