Csula Fall 2014 applicants..

Published

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

if you can just go up to the SON. As soon as people start rejecting their acceptance more letters are going to be mailed.

I'm thinking 24 was the cutoff..... But you should go there and talk to them...

Doesn't joanpant have 24 points?

Maybe the calculation was off. She did say something about updating her grades...

Or maybe, there were many with 24, and the SON used experience, or something else, a deciding factor....

With so few spots, im sure not every person with the lowest passing score was accepted. That's where medical experience probably plays a role in deciding.

That's just my guess... You should call the school...

Im guessing that a lot of people applied...

The Long Beach director said that they had the most competitive year ever, and a lot of people with great scores were denied. Im sure a lot of those people applied at CSULA as a second choice... Just as i did.... And will be taking the acceptance... Just as I am...

But, i could just be projecting my own thoughts onto others....lol

It's all conjecture from me at this point. You just need to get in contact with the school...

One thing is for certain... People will be denying their acceptances, and spots will open. Just wait and see...

:/

yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. And the fact that the two people on this forum who had 24 points have also finished ALL their prereqs. Those people were ranked higher than me depending on prereqs, experience, and possibly down to the detail of the exact GPA

Honestly I think we need more data to see what the cutoff was. Don't let it discourage you @joanpant, people from the wait list are always getting called for a spot, right now it's just too early to tell.

I'll stop by their office tomorrow.

I don't think anyone has received wait list letters yet

That's the best idea... Like i said, we are just guessing...talk to the school...

But If you are that close, you will probably get one of the openings....

How many students does the school accept for the total cohort?
