Published

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

Specializes in CVICU.

Yes, I know this.. but who knows how far on the waitlist I will be and not many of those people will decline

From previous years, everyone from the waitlist got accepted. Think positive :)

We won't really know till next week.

Hope each day that passes can go faster so the day could approach soon...ahhh...

I checked my Eagle IView, and it says i have a hold from Admissions. the reason is "Admission eligibility verif." Does anyone know what that means?

That possibly could mean that the GE on your transcripts must have be to labeled ge certified from the school you transferred from. That is only 1 possibility.(The golden 4 general education requirement) or it could mean if you have classes in progress, when the quarter or semester is over, your final transcripts from the current term will be known by Admissions to confirm your admission officially. It might also be that. I'm sure you're in good shape.

I have that same hold and I do have one of the golden fours in progress

I wouldn't get hopes up on letters getting sent out April 1st, since grades for students at CSULA were only revealed a few days ago and the students are on Spring Break, they may extend the date for their students to bring final grades and anything else to the SON

Mine has also changed to "admitted". Now it says I need to turn in my tax return for Financial aid, and submit the independent student paperwork….

However... my LB account also said admitted… until the Nursing Program denied me….lol. Following the Nursing Program rejection, I received a subsequent rejection letter from the school…. so, who knows?!

That was really confusing for me when I was applying. I did not ever check the GE CERTIFIED box for transcript request, and all mine went through just fine… So.. I don't know how important that is, or if it just saves them time, so they ask for it.

I was told to re-send transcript that shows GE certification from my community college. I think it partially could be a time-saver for admissions. Maybe that was why they told me to send in official transcript with GE certification. GE certification was highly emphasized.

Also, Did you guys also have a long wait time before Admissions representative finally became available to answer your calls? It was a long waiting time for me whenever I tried to call them.
