Hello! I was just wondering if anyone out there has applied to the CSULA ELMN program for Fall 2009? Maybe we can discuss what everyone's heard about their application, interviews, TEAS scores, etc.
:wink2:
I am working pt, taking a swim class (for Loma Linda cuz I never took PE during college), and working as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for Physiology at a local community college (same teacher I took for physio). And I'm volunteering as a CCE. I'm trying to keep busy or I think I'll go nuts with this waiting...
I just graduated with my B.S. in December so all of my school activities/internships are over
Right now I'm just working at a company called Biomechanical Consultants doing things with medical records, etc. Other than that I just go to the gym a lot (I like kickboxing!!) and I'm catching up on all the books I've been too busy to read. It's a nice break before grad school starts!
I have been running a lot also. The gym takes up a lot of my time..a gym session literally lasts me. hmm 3 hours. I go in.. I change, run on the treadmill for about 3-4 miles.. (30-40 mins), use the machines, go in to use the sauna/steam room thing, then once i get back home i walk the dogs, then i hit the shower.

Hi mnguy,
They don't require them. I tripled checked
. Western doesn't require anything unusual aside from transcripts and rec letters. With Loma Linda, they do require you take the TEAS test as well as a "Critical Thinking" test. That 2nd test needs to be done there (I think). If you call the nursing school, they can clarify it more for you. The staff there is really nice.
The only thing with Loma Linda is their price. They don't have an "EL-MSN" program because it's a BS-MSN track. Their way allows you to get a BSN in 2 years and then apply towards their MSN track (which apparently takes about 2-3 years FT). At the Open House, we were told the BSN would be 70k (2 years) and probably more than double that to finish the MSN.
