Don't be sad--you did very well!! I think I got 60% on the General Science part of the science section. There were some questions that were really out-there, stupid questions in that section. You did VERY well in the other three sections--I don't think you need to worry about it. I got 60% on percentages--how sad is that considering that we need to work with solutions and use lots of percentages. I console myself remembering how it is a sheer miracle that I actually made it there, found the building (I thought it was in Simpson Tower instead of King Hall= I had to run in the rain with a runny nose pounding headache, and otherwise all-over wanting to die feeling because I was so sick)...and somehow, in the end, it was okay. I made it through, went home, and stayed in bed for days. haha

You'll be fine--you did very well!

So since you are all done with your prereqs and applying are you working right now? and if so, where?

I'm still taking the prereqs for Mount Saint Mary's and I also decided to take a CNA class. As soon as I finish the class, I'm hoping to work as a CNA at the hospital where I volunteer while I'm waiting to start. I figured that it was worth taking to get familiar with taking vitals and having more direct patient care experience before starting the program. Although there are many aspects of the CNA role that I'm not looking forward to as much, I'm hoping it won't be so bad. The CNAs at the Hospital I volunteer at seem happy.

It's funny--people either tell me that the CNA class/experience with be very helpful---or the complete opposite..."why would you want to do that?" I'm guessing that it will be more helpful than traumatic, but only time will tell.

No I finished it in 2007, did a year-long internship in Europe, then came back last Summer and decided to take the nursing prereqs.

Hi I applied to the Fresno ELM program also haven't heard anything yet and having sleepless nights. The only other program I applied to in the CNL one at USF!! i was hoping to get into Fresno since I live in the Central valley....but righ tnow I cannot be picky. Goodluck to everyone.

CSUF=Cal State University Fullteron, I think the Fresno school is abbreviated differently. Sorry.

Hey all! Were you guys able to confirm anything as far as application goes with CSUF? I applied for Fall 2009 and have called at least 5 times to try to confirm that my file is complete. I spoke to a lady named Shawna and she told me there is NO confirmation. If they need anything, then they'd ask for it but there was no way to check. I thought that was strange especially since I paid to apply there, at least I can sleep knowing they have everything. :/

I tried doing that too, but they have not even sent me the checklist. I have a horrible feeling, that is the only school I applied to.

I would keep calling them actually if you're expecting stuff from them. And take down names, so that it seems more credible the next time you call.

It's frustrating because one of my recommendation letters came in late, and they can't even tell me if they got it. And it's been over 1 month.

Hi Levoila,

We posted to each other on the CSUF thread I created and you have mentioned you applied to CSULA SUMMER 2009. I am curious if you have heard from Kathleen Hinoki regarding interviews. I read on a CSULA thread she had called applicants for interviews on Feb. 20th. Please keep me updated. I am such a worry wort.
