CSUF ABSN Fall 2020

Hello! I wanted to create a thread for those interested in/planning on applying to the CSUF ABSN Fall 2020 cohort. Applications open up in a couple of days! I just wanted to know how everyone is feeling about themselves and create a place where we can talk about the process.

No we didn't! We only sent it once with our initial application.

My assessment questions were the same but my practice ones didn’t help prep me. It was stuff like “Coffee or tea?” Not helpful! LOL

I’m mostly annoyed with myself about the advocate question. I have so many good answers I could have said and I blanked.

I blanked for the advocate and ethical dilemma ones too.. had much better examples then what I used

I don’t think the outbreak would affect the application process. We already did the interview and turn in our essay. Now, we just play the waiting game. But we could probably get our result by the end of March. Stay safe as well!

I think it could definitely delay things. People making admissions decisions may be staying home and what not. I went to CSULB’s communications exercise and they said it might cause a delay. I also got an email from Sac State right now saying that they don’t know when they’ll be able to make decisions because of everything going on.

Hello there..

Did anyone email the school to find out if they have a position about how things will be for now on?

I am trying to make a decision about if I drop some of my classes.. it is getting tough and I am not sure what is the point.

Just received an email from the BSN advisor. I was offered conditional admission. Did anyone else did?

I got into the alternate list for conditional. I guess if people go to other schools and spot get available..

And I am still waiting for other schools answer.

I'm still waiting to hear back from one more school though before I make a decision.
