CSUF ABSN Fall 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello! I wanted to create a thread for those interested in/planning on applying to the CSUF ABSN Fall 2020 cohort. Applications open up in a couple of days! I just wanted to know how everyone is feeling about themselves and create a place where we can talk about the process.

Don't believe there's already a thread created, but if there is, please link the thread haha

I am planning to do my interview on Sunday, since I have more free time. I Want to know if I can register and do the practice part on Saturday. Or thw practice needs to be done right before? I am afraid to go practice and have to do the interview.. LOL can someone give a feedback about this?

You can register and do the practice before Sunday! You can check-in/register, which is making a profile and attaching your essay, then have the option to do the practice questions. You can technically check-in today, start the practice questions, and wait until Sunday to do your actual interview. Hope this helps! ?

I don't want to get too detailed because not everyone has done theirs yet- but for those that have completed the assessment, how do you all feel like you did?

@britt4444 I completed mine a couple hours ago! It went by suuuuuuper quick. With all interviews I attend, I felt like I could've given better answers. Hopefully decisions come quickly after the 9th!

Before you check in, there is a list of FAQs. The first question stated that this assessment includes 4 questions. I suggest doing the practice questions before starting the real thing!

Thank you! Going to check it out today

@fobbymomo I am kicking myself about things I could have said that I completely blanked on. I feel like I am normally pretty good and interviewing but that was not my best.

Yes, hopefully soon! They said April, right?

You did your best and that's all that matters! I'm sure you did well! They did say April, but the decision came out fairly quickly after interviews for previous cohorts.

I was not used to this interview method at all. I honestly felt more pressure with a time limit on me. It feels very unnatural to not be talking to someone. I wish that it was a face-to-face interview...

Same so unnatural

@kaen Yeah, I 100% agree

Hello! Now that our online assessment has been completed I hope everyone feels somewhat relieved! Give yourself credit for doing your best and coming this far.

My experience of the online interview was that it was definitely interesting!--not something I was accustomed to, but glad to have completed it nonetheless. I wish everyone the best of luck and hope we all make it through and hear good news come April. Till then! ✌️?
